Annual service report - yet another analysis - big trouble for the WTS
by FFGhost inthere's already been a couple of threads on the 2021 report with insightful comments, but i'm vain enough to want to start my own topic with some additional thoughts..... as others on the other thread noted, it's useful to compare the 2021 numbers not only to 2020 but also 2019 (the last non-pandemic report).. there are some really troubling (if you're a wt headquarters guy) news in the latest report.. 1) baptisms plummet.
2021 - 171,393. baptisms dropped 20% in 2020, and 30% more in 2021. the total drop from 2019 to 2021 is an amazing 44%.. one could argue that without in-person assemblies and conventions you'd expect baptisms to drop.
but....if someone really wants to get baptized, jws will find a way.

His video on YouTube he put up was not very smart. IMO you don't tell people you are leaving for mental health and getting treatment. The idiots in the cult will use this to say all his videos are mentally off. No one needs to know anyone else's mental health if they are not a very close friend or relative.
Just say you are taking a sabbatical to spend some time with your family. Everyone will understand and you don't give the enemy any ammo. Unless he is fishing to keep his patrons out of sympathy. But IMO the less people know about situations in your life the less they have to throw back at you. I don't think this was wise.

i've asked a couple of jws to explain the overlapping generation and they directed me to the website jw------org.. either they don't know, or they do know but don't want to discuss it because they know it's bogus and embarrassing.. either way, surely they must know that this just extended the last days another 80 years from the time fred franz died.

Here is the thing. The overlapping Gen BS is just that a load of horse shit. Anyone with a reasoning brain can see this is crap. One has to suspend belief and reason to even pretend to believe in this garbage. Since the 70s I was saying the cult can not go past the 90s or so before the "generation that saw all these things will not pass away" was seen as a lie and failed. So what did the cult do? A bull shit maneuver saying that there is some over lapping generation and the younger JWs will not think much of it and the older ones will have so much invested over the years they just buy one more lie. Its sick twisted and shit on a stick.

I know of many who watched R movies. They would not advertise it but would bend the rules as all JWs do in their own cases. The thing is what was an R movie 30 years ago is now on TV uncut. I also know of elders, one was my business partner back in the 90s that when we were on a job at a customers home, and they were not there if we had to wait and we did from time to time, we would watch movies if they had them. This elder when around his wive who was a pompous ass to the first deg, he would denounce R movies like it was poison. But on one job we were waiting for supplies and the customer was gone as it was their summer home, and we used the TV. I put in Clock Work Orange, Yep the Stanly Kubrick movie that was very violent. LOL he would always use the singing in the rain and do a kick from the movie when we were getting pushed around by the shop we were working for. It shows that most JWs even the pompous ones say one thing but do another when no one is looking.
