The Jehovah’s Witnesses religious group has established a new asset management firm in Ireland that features a slate of heavy-hitting directors, including the former chief risk officer at Swiss banking giant UBS and other seasoned investment bankers.

The experienced financial directors are all understood to also have ties to the religious movement.

The religious group is thought to have tens of billions of dollars in assets and relies on anonymous donations from its members to support all of its activities.

It has established three companies in Ireland in recent weeks, including Mina Asset Management, Mina Treasury Services and Lepta Payment Solutions. All three are based at the community’s Irish headquarters in Co Wicklow.

The directors of Mina Asset Management include three US-based directors and others based in Germany and Australia.

One of the directors is Philip Lofts.

He worked for UBS in the United States for three decades and was the group chief risk officer from 2009 to 2010, and from 2012 to 2015. He also served as CEO of UBS Americas in 2011.

He was a non-executive director of UBS Group Americas from 2017 until 2023. He is currently a non-executive board member of major Swiss private banking group EFG International.

Vassilios Pappas, with an address in Germany, is also a director of Mina Asset Management.

He is the co-founder and managing director of leading global asset management firm Assenagon Asset Management. It has about €57bn of assets under management.

Tobias Broweleit is currently an adjunct professor at Germany’s for-profit IU International University of Applied Sciences and lists his address in New York at the Jehovah’s Witnesses property.

He worked for German banking giant Sparkasse as a portfolio manager from 2007 to 2009 and also held other roles at the group.

Nolan Vengethasamy is also a director. He worked as a bond trader with ABN Amro from 1997 to 2001. He also worked for South Africa’s Standard Bank Group.

Another director of Mina Asset Management is New Zealander Stuart Bull, who gives his address as the headquarters of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Australia.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses office in the UK was asked for comment.

There are about 8.8 million Jehovah’s Witnesses in the world, and an estimated 8,000 across the island of Ireland. About 1.2 million are in the United States.

It has amassed considerable assets since the movement was founded in Pittsburgh in 1872 by Charles Taze Russell.

In 2015, it put its worldwide headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, up for sale in various lots.

It was expected to fetch as much as $1bn as the group planned a move to upstate New York. In 2018, the group sold the last of the properties it owned in Brooklyn, bringing to 37 the total number of properties it sold in the borough since 2004.

In 2018, just one of the apartment blocks it sold in Brooklyn fetched $202m when it was sold to Florida-based private equity firm Kayne Anderson Real Estate.

Among the well-known Jehovah’s Witnesses are tennis champion Serena Williams, who was baptised by the group in Florida last year.

ThomasMore: very excellent post. You are 100% correct. I am building a short position. But when the kucca hits the fan and my short position makes me a bunch of money, most likely I don’t get to spend any of it.

The moves in the market that I highlight are as you say not an indicator of “the end”. No more than “wars and rumours of wars” as Jesus even threw cold water on that baloney when he said “the end is not yet”. Jesus dismissed all this nonsense.

What I am pointing out is that what we see now is just the beginning of something important that will affect everyone. So I signal the complacent who think stuff is just going to be going as it always has. It will not.

USA has been absorbed fully in its attempt to “complete his conquest” and time is short such that USA is making some desperate moves, one such being the destruction of Nordstream. This action has really made the Germans angry. But they are a vassal now, and can’t say boo.

Readers may laugh at the notion that the prophecy of Daniel is going to work out as is written. But they will not ignore the things that are starting which will wreck their party.

The time left for the USA to conquer what remains out of their “hand”. Which means they will become more desperate, and destructive. Stuff gonna happen and it’ll blow your mind.

The King of the South prepares for WAR. He rides his White Horse but his time he knows is now short. Rome tried, he came to nothing. So to the King of the South will fail.
Almighty God, who is the Alpha and the Omega, the one who IS, who WAS and who is COMING and who lives in unapproachable light, whom only Jesus is allowed to see “in the bosom position”, this God will prove that HE lives outside time, he is the past, the present and the future. He has told what is to happen, for to HIM it has already taken place.
Yes, I’m nuts. But just nuts enough to tell you that the US bond markets are now rallying and rates are dropping. The inversion of the short and long ends is normalizing as it does prior to a recession. The markets are beginning to fall and the house of cards, the massive US Wall St Ponzi scheme is ending. Unemployment is rising and deficit spending to create government paid jobs to mask the problem is wiping out the next generation.

After the US launches their first strike, Daniel says that it “comes all the way to his end” and “there will be no (NATO) to help him”. USA is busted and Uncle Sam lays dead in the street.

Then out comes “the Beast”, and “the mark” that “no one may buy or sell” without it.

Christians at that time will be helped to discern what that “mark” is and they will refuse it. It will be a tough time. How will Christians be treated during this time… That remains to be seen, but endurance will be essential.

When relying on historical treatments of persona non-grata I will guess the world will round up these Christians and incarcerate them. It’s been that way forever.

Jesus said he”d gather the faithful at that time. So, I’m am of the thought that this works out well. Easy to discern His own, as they got jammed into concentration camps.

The clock ticks down. The prophecy will be completed while you watch.

The King of the South will get news from the east and the north and will go into an extreme rage “in order to annihilate many.”

The King of the North (Germany) was defeated in WW2 exactly as Daniel predicted. Following the victory of the King of the South (USA) against him, with the multitude of ships Daniel wrote of, the King of the South “flooded over and passed through” and did exactly as Daniel foretold, gaining control of almost everything except the ones “who escaped his hand”.

USA struggled to gain control of what ‘escaped its hand’ after WW2, first in the Korean War, then in the Vietnam War, both failed.

Now the final attempt in Ukraine. The USA will not relent as this is the last chance to “complete his conquest” as he rides his white horse, followed by the red, black and pale.

I do not know what this “news” is that is so profound that the USA launches a First Strike against both Russia and China. But Daniel says no-one will come to help the USA and He “will come all the way to his end.”

Jesus asked who “really”… because He knew well that there would be a claimant to the ‘title’.

Yes, they claim to be ‘the faithful slave’ but “who really” is.

Then Christ says “if THAT evil slave” thus identifying the claimant as truly an imposter and a charlatan.

Why, because the evil slave was beating his fellow slaves. Just as an evil house master would beat the slaves to extract more labour and to harshly impose his will upon them, the “evil slave” demands DO MORE DO MORE DO MORE and it’s never enough as they will lose out on life if they do not do more and more. And the evil slave further beats saying ‘you must refuse blood and die’.

Also, the evil slave says “the Master is delaying”, and how can that be said unless first the evil slave prophecied the time of the Master’s arrival and which time has passed.

There is no doubt, the watchtower’s leading men, have found their place in prophecy indeed.

Why is the United States moving so much hardware into location?

THE PENTAGON – USS Bataan (LHD-5) and USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) are expected to remain in the Red Sea for an extended period as part of the U.S. naval buildup in the Middle East, two defense officials confirmed to USNI NewsMonday.

None of the nuclear missiles on these subs are aimed at Hamas. These subs and their ordinance are in the Red Sea as the US prepares for war with China And Russia.
