Be ready to obey!!
by kairos inhttp://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20131115/seven-shepherds-eight-dukes/.
from paragraph 17-. at that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.. i think i know what the instructions will be.it's nothing new.

That paragraph really caught my attention too, i keep wondering what crazy thing they are gonna ask of people. Not sure how anyone could read that and not think that something a little shady was going on. -

Tell her you stepped down as an elder, then divulge information that could wake her up, as to why you stepped down. -

I still think mailing out thousands of flyers like some other religions would actually be more effective and cost saving, and time saving than driving around all day talking to a couple people. It would also cut down on pollution, which is more important than the message they are trying to spread :) -

Jonah's success, J-dubs failure in preaching.
by Darkknight757 in3:1 then the word of the lord came to jonah a second time: 2 “go to the great city of nineveh and proclaim to it the message i give you.”3 jonah obeyed the word of the lord and went to nineveh.
now nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it.
4 jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “forty more days and nineveh will be overthrown.” 5 the ninevites believed god.

someone also made the comment last night that Jonah after being spit out of the fish, would have been scared to make god angry again and that he would go to Ninevah because god could use anything to eat him, such as a horse. I was like wtf? -

I am pleased for the lucky bastards who have been spared my bible bashing.
by The Rebel ini am seven months without bible bashing, without door-knocking, or standing by a trolley cart looking like a prat.
and i feel the real winners are the " lucky bastards" who haven't been told about jehvover.
furthermore they are spared super pious me telling them what they can and can't do.

It's a sad thing when humun beings with the capacity to smile and laugh can get so hung up on religion. Think about it, how often did you see genuine smiles and laughter at the Kingdom Hall?
Thats what i was thinking about sitting there at the KH last night, and then i was like why on earth would anyone want to live forever with these yahoos?

The gb can tell the flock anything they want and they just eat it up. Critics, historians, professionals are always wrong, unless their views actually support what the gb says. -

Did he actually say 6 billion people will soon take their last breath? LOL
Yes he was quoting a watchtower from a few years ago. But you know, witnesses aren't judging lol. He corrected it though and said that number is closer to 8 billion now.

I had a few issues with the article tonight, but the one that stood out is how they tried to say that even though god felt regret over the calamity he had spoken, didn't mean his own judgement had been in error. They then proceeded to use deut. 32:4 saying that his activity is perfect and all his ways are justice.
Well either the bible contradicted itself here or i misunderstand what regret means. Usually regret i thought was feeling bad about something you did that wasn't right?
Also they said god is nothing like the rigid, cold, even harsh god so often portrayed by religious leaders. When actually he is exactly like that if you read the old testament.
