One sister started a rumor that another sister didn't wear any underwear.
Haha, Always amazes me what these people let bother them. They really need to grow thicker skin, but i guess then they wouldn't have anything to gossip about.
matthew 6:15 are jesus' own words on how to deal with a sinner.
15 “if your brother or sister[b] sins,[c] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you.
if they listen to you, you have won them over.

The same Watchtower urges Witnesses to turn a brother or sister in to the elders if that one is committing serious sin.
I can't remember even one time where a witness had an issue with someone, where they went to the person before the elders. Even in personal experience i have had the elders tell me someone was offended by something or saw me do something, and i ask them to have the person come to me first about the matter, but the elders never do that.

Add to that Jesus words again at Matthew 5 : 43-47
thank you for that scripture also. I plan on using these in the near future.

Matthew 6:15 are Jesus' own words on how to deal with a sinner
15 “If your brother or sister[b] sins,[c] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[d] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
Never once does it mention to shun them. Jesus sat down with tax collectors.
Luke 6:37 are also Jesus' words and says not to judge
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Yet we have a "judicial" committee to judge a person.
So the scripture they use from 1 corinthians is totally against what jesus says. Maybe the apostle Paul was an early apostate? Ha, just my $.02
the bible tells us that noah etc lived to 500yrs old as did many other characters who lived apparently to incredible years.. yet archaeological research tells us from looking at skeletons that have been dug up that the average lifespan was very short.
if a man got to the age of 50 they would have considered that quite an achievement.
when i was in i always wondered about this?
I was always told that the early men were closer to perfection so they lived longer and life spans consistently got shorter the farther from Adam they got. BS is what i say.
Because in another talk they would use a illustration of a bread pan with a dent in it as to why we inherited sin from Adam. Adam was the dented pan and every human after that had the same imperfect dent.
some cong-member asked my wife this question (in the street, stopping her on her bicycle) in a rather police-like fashion.
i wasn't there so i don't know her immediate reaction and response, but she got very upset afterwards and one day later this still occupies her mind.
i believe it's an emotional mix of anger, sadness, shame and guilt.. she doesn't like this intrusion in her privacy from some jws and on the next occasion she will try to make this person respect her boundaries (or just ignore her).
Typical JW fashion. At a witness funeral a JW got in my non jw uncles face and started preaching to him and he had to put her in her place. Same woman also got in another ladies face who hasn't been to meeting in a long time and said you better get back to meeting because the society is moving forward at a fast pace and you don't wanna miss the train.
The crazy train that is.
ours started out with matt.
25:23. he brought out that "good and faithful slave" was talking about the anointed but wait for it.........yes the principle can be applied to our cong.
well tonight it was about getting all the territories worked once a year.
Mines was about, can you believe this??? Coming your hair. yes I said it. Combing your freaking hair. Then he added tight fitting dresses.
I believe it, i've been counseled on side burns just down to the bottom of my ear lobe and because my hair was too long looking when it wasn't groomed, among other petty things.

from paragraph 17-. at that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.. i think i know what the instructions will be.it's nothing new.
