I tell you this much. The day that the pedophile database is actually released, I will party like it's 1999.
Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually delete all data before they are forced to release it.

romans 13 : 1-7 "let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities" etc,"the existing authourities stand placed in their relative positions by god" 2".therefore he who opposers the authourity has taken a stand against the arrangement of god ,those who have taken a stand against it will recieve judgement to themselves "etc,etc,.."..to him who calls for honour such honour.".
isnt this plainly stating that christians should be supporting and playing along with the governments of this sytem of things ?
that it is in fact an arrangement of god ?
Annon: yeah if he wanted to win the contest of winning votes, would he not have showered mankind with goodness instead, in his final sprint? may be it was the other contestant that caused all the havoc, like he did in Babel, and in the same region again today? bad scriptwriting in that made up drama.
Precisely. JWs teach that Jokehova is giving Satan a chance to prove that his rulership is better. Yet they also teach that he came down to earth in 1914 and began wreaking havoc in the world. This is so contradictory. Wouldn't he use his power/wisdom to help us rather than harm us?
Another, hole in the logic is that there are many accounts in the bible where Jokehova intervenes (the flood etc). That is hardly giving Satan a chance.
here we are on the cusp of the new year, and the 2017 yearbook of jws has still not been released.
jw.org continues to feature the 2016 yearbook in its list of main publications.
in previous years, the upcoming yearbook's annual report on jws was released in november for the january 1st then the feb 1st watchtower, then earlier in december when it was only featured in the yearbook, then more recently with a couple of days of december 25th.
Again, as with the more recent years of consecutive increases, not one direct word in Jw publications will comment on the dramatic increase in the total number of memorial partakers. I understand from an earlier thread, that the 2016 increase in partakers is the largest increase in sharp contrast to decades of "predicted" decreases.
The amazing thing is their continued reporting of the partakers-increases, along with the lack of direct commentary on it.
Didn't they say that not all of these people were really anointed and that many of these people have a mental disturbance or emotional imbalance which caused them to think that they are anointed.
i am new on this forum.
i have been associating with the jw's for three years, and was about to be baptised soon (next month).
however, i discovered on time that it is not right to do.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that your relationship with God depends on the words 7 men refered to as "the Faithful and Discrete slave" or Governing Body. It would seem that the Governing body is the mediator for the great crowd according to their teachings.
"Our friendship with God depends on receiving spiritual food through this faithful slave." (Watchtower 2013 July simplified)

Sounds like you dodged a bullet. I'm don't remember too much about JW doctine but I can tell you that JWs are as anti-Jesus as any form of Christianity can get. They do not believe that Jesus should be worshipped or that he is God etc. They simply refer to him as the channel to God (which is strange since they also state in watchtower articles that the Governing Body is the channel to God).
Therefore, you won't find them praying to Jesus or any such thing. For further research on JWs see jwfacts.com and share the information with your family and friends before they become entrapped in a cult.
during the watchtower study today, i browsed genesis and looked for evidence of noah ever preaching to anyone.
from what i could glean from the scriptures, it was a foregone conclusion that noah's family would be it on the ark.
(unless they towed some rafts behind) my wife says that building the ark could be considered a witness of his faith to the wicked world, but that seems kind of lame to me.. so, should i just assume that god decided not to give anyone else a chance for redemption?
The idea of a global flood is preposterous at best. Even if there was some type of flood, how would Noah know if it was worldwide?
If the place where I have lived all my life is flooded and there is no land in sight then for ancient people, it is logical to conclude that the "whole world" is covered by water. I mean if just part of Australia is flooded, there is no way to know if the entire of Australia is flooded or the rest of the world for that matter.
Can someone living in Sydney Australia see if South Africa is flooded?
there are two kingdom halls in two parts of the county i live in.
one is smaller and their are already about to begin work to replace with a new one.. just posting because i noticed posts saying their wasn't new khs being built.
and i learned this today from someone..
lm curious to know how others feel about this subject.for me its blatently obvious the gb make things up as time passes by and the sheep bow down with blind obedience without questioning.lts like the blind leading the blind..
Encouraging suicide via refusing blood transfusions? That counts as blood guilty in my book.
i recently spoke to an old friend of mine who is still under the clutches of the watchtower.
a while back, i had told him about all the child sex abuse coverups, false prophecies, false doctrines etc.
he was really shocked and surprised.
Tepid pultry l spoke with my sister last week and she has been slacking off ( not going to meetings) ,l asked her why she bothers with the truth and her comment was (lm scared).Scared of what l asked.?Her comment was(lm scared that if armageddon comes she will die. Sad isnt it?
Even if it was the truth, it would be pointless to serve Jokehova half spiritedly. You would still be destroyed for being lukewarm.
Rev 3:15,16 - I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
So, even though there is no Armageddon coming, if it was coming she would get destroyed for being lukewarm. Therefore, she is gaining nothing from forcing herself to continue.
I think that personal honesty is important. Even though, I am now agnostic, there was a time when I still believed in the bible and Watchtower to a certain extent. Back then I told myself that if I couldn't serve Jokehova wholeheartedly, then it was pointless. Today I can say that I am happy I had the courage to accept that. I no longer believe that Armageddon is coming or that the world is going to end or any other crazy things. I only accept facts and I do not worry about the unknowable.
When we die, we will all know if god exists or not. It's pointless to worry about which religion is the right one especially when they all may be wrong. Just live and be the best that you can be in life.

I think that this is a no win situation
But I think that insight as to what is going on could be helpful
His responses as you've described were not spontaneous
They were rehearsed
JWS constantly prepare for every encounter
He probably approached an elder
And they worked on those responses together,
I would just leave them alone
It sounds like you gave it your all the first time
But they suffer from bullet proof brain syndrome
Everything bounces off
:0)
It did seem strange. When I had revealed TTATT he seemed shocked and he couldn't even say a thing to defend his faith. Now, he seems to be able to articulate himself to a certain extent, even though his reasoning is still flawed as **ck. He probably spoke to the elders. They must have reinforced his brainwashing. Sigh...
I feel sad for him and angry at the same time...
