  Her work produced facts. Those facts are indifferent to the conclusions drawn from them. I merely point out what the evolutionary paradigm is now requiring from thinking minds.

  This is in part what is now required:

  1. Fresh tissue is indicative of a young age, unless it is dinosaur tissue, then it isn't

  2. The distinctive odor of rotting flesh is indicative of a young age unless it is dinosaur corpse stench, then it isn't

  3. Carbon 14 dating is accurate unless it is performed on dinosaur soft tissue, then it isn't

  4. DNA has a scientifically proven half life of 521 years unless it is dinosaur DNA, then it doesn't

  ok so you got out of the watchtower society after discerning it was false.

  what is amazing is how many have turned their back on the king or was it they had no faith in the first place and the spiritual food they received did not help them stand upon a rock.

  God is eternal. His blessings are eternal. His punishment is eternal. We must deal with the God that is, not the one we imagine him to be. To do any other is to erect a false god, which is idolatry; and I might add a violation of the first commandment - thou shalt have no other gods before me.

  For several years, supernatural dreams have been pointed to as a very significate causitive factor. I heard of one survey of muslim converts at 80% converted because Jesus came to them in a dream.

  I have a cousin that is dead serious when she says that Jesus appeared to her and filled her entire room with light. She says it wasn't a dream. Maybe a vision, she didn't know.

  I think that ex JW's would be a group Jesus would be responsive to if they asked him to appear to them in a dream. Why not ask him to?

  The Messiah turn his back on me, I went to him and he failed.

  Don't know what your situation is, but I think a lot of people experience this because of the way they are introduced to Christianity. They are told 'God has a special plan for you' or 'Your life will improve if you try Jesus'; or let's get on a spiritual high with some hip worship music.

  The reality is that God's plan for you will likely take years to unfold through the sanctification process. And, Jesus is not something you try on to see if it feels good. It's kinda like being handed a parachute while on an airplane and being told; "put this on, it will improve your flight". So, you reason why not. You put it on but it feels uncomfortable, and eventually you take it off and reason that the parachute was a failure.

  However, you could be told, "the plane is going down in 5 minutes, put this parachute on". Suddenly, the parachute feels great and makes you feel secure. You check and recheck the buckles. That makes you feel even better.

  Because of marketing techniques, many people are told that Jesus will improve their flight when in reality Jesus saves you from God's judgment after you die. God must judge. Jesus absorbs your guilty verdict and takes your punishment for you.

  Designs, So what? JW's resent having their works scrtinized as well. That is meaningless.

  I thought we had all finally evolved to the point where we could examine things and ask questions even if some don't like the questioning. Questioning led us all out of the WT. Why stop now?

  Schweitzer’s team detected DNA in three independent ways. Indeed, one of these chemical tests and specific antibodies specifically detect DNA in its double–stranded form. This shows that it was quite well preserved, since short strands of DNA less than about 10 bp don’t form stable duplexes. The stain DAPI 19 lodges in a groove of a stable double helix, which requires even more bp.

  Again, the first possible response by long-agers is “contamination”. But the DNA was not found everywhere, but only in certain internal regions of the ‘cells’. This pattern was just like in ostrich cells, but nothing like biofilm taken from other sources and exposed to the same DNA-detecting pattern. This is enough to rule out bacteria, because in more complex cells (such as ours and dinos), the DNA is stored in a small part of the cell—the nucleus.

  Futhermore, Schweitzer’s team detected a special protein called histone H4. Not only is yet another protein a big problem for millions of years, but this is a specific protein for DNA. (DNA is Deoxy-riboNucleic Acid, so is negatively charged, while histones are alkaline so positively charged, so they attract DNA). In more complex organisms, the histones are tiny spools around which the DNA is wrapped. 20 But histones are not found in bacteria. So, as Schweitzer et al. say, “These data support the presence of non-microbial DNA in these dinosaur cells.” 11

  Conclusion

  It’s hard to improve on one of Mary Schweitzer’s early quotes:

  It was exactly like looking at a slice of modern bone. But of course, I couldn’t believe it. I said to the lab technician: “The bones are, after all, 65 million years old. How could blood cells survive that long?” 21

  I forgot to mention in my last list the now scientifically PROVEN half life of DNA at only a mere 521 years.

  And yet, we are asked to ignore this evidence and just believe that Dinosaur bones are the exception, because they have been found with DNA fragments.

  So let's review:

  What it comes down to, Perry, is you know you are right because you have read the truth in a holy book....And, yes, we get most of what we believe from reading books

  It seems obvious that your books dictate what you believe and forces you to suspend common sense and facts that don't support your forgone conclusions. There is more than enough evidence to seriously doubt the "Millions of Years" dogma.

  You have the evidence of your own eyes.... soft dinosaur tissue that couldn't possible last for millions of years anywhere, much less pourous limestome. It's impossible to demonstrate otherwise. We are simply asked to believe.

  You have the evidence of your own nose.... smelling the stench of rotting flesh when dinosaur bones are cracked open. Again, people are asked to just ignore common sense and believe.

  Secularists also, ask us to believe life came from non-life... something that is simply fanciful and foreign to ANY known science or testing. For all of some scientists' pomp and special pleading, they are yet to produce even one living twig on their own. Yet, this failure to demonstrate doesn't stop the faithful from pronouncing their views as fact or likely probability.

  And you have the evidence of Dr. Jack Horner in the phone interview above who seems anything but open to ideas different than his own. He reminds me of a JW elder who has just been challenged by someone knowledgeable, they just feign superiority, because well, they feel superior. They imagine that circular reasoning is thier friend, but it isn't; it is their abyss that affords them a view of only themselves. But, I don't want to pick on only these groups. This condition of the mind focused only on the self is a species-wide phenomana.

  The human mind seems absolutely pre-disposed to self-deception. This is a fundamental teaching of Christianity:

  "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,"

  JW, read my scriptural reference I added. You can know my friend. I've experienced it personally. And nothing can ever take that away.

  My faith rests on the KNOWING, not the other way around as you suggest. I would tell you if it was something different.
