The "Whole World" was flooded??
by stuckinarut2 inso, jehovah's witnesses and many other biblical literalists think that the "whole world" was flooded during noahs day.. they take the "accounts" in genesis literally.
so that means that areas as far away as australia, russia, argentina, greenland, antarctica were all visited by noah and his family to gather animals and preach before it happened right??
they then took everything back to the middle east to board the ark...uh huh.... yet, the same expression in the bible for the "whole world" is also used in the account about the "worldwide famine" in josephs day!

by stan livedeath insomething i found on facebook..... a bit of interesting history reading .... enjoy ...they used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken & sold to the tannery.......if you had to do this to survive you were "piss poor".
but worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn't even afford to buy a pot......they "didn't have a pot to piss in" & were the lowest of the low.
the next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

"This Good news Of The Kingdom Will Be Preached In All The Inhabited Earth" ........
by smiddy3 in..".for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come" .matt.24:14.. the religion of jehovah`s witnesses kid themselves into thinking they are filling or have fulfilled this prophecy/scripture .. given that you take the jehovah`s witnesses and the international bible students association as one and the same religion , then they have been preaching their message primarily within lands that are predominantly christian based.....and certainly do not cover "all the inhabited earth " as their are many populous non christian nations nations that do not allow, even forbid any proselytizing in their lands.
i would estimate about one third of the current world population.. but that is not all .. given that you take the jehovah`s witnesses and the international bible students association as one and the same religion ,then they have about 140 years of preaching their beliefs to the public specifically to preach "this good news of the kingdom " as they claim to do in obedience to j.c.commands at matt.24:14.. take a survey no matter where you live on this planet earth of the people in your locality and if you asked them "what was the message jehovah`s witnesses left you and no one would be able to say "they told me about and explained to me the good news of the kingdom" and what it would mean to me.. no one would be able to say that .after 140 years of preaching and witnessing by what is now 8 million plus jehovah`s witnesses .. what a waste of time and energy and lives .. after 140 years of preaching what do the public know about jehovah`s witnesses ?.
they don`t take blood transfusions .

So, they have preached faith in themselves as Gods channel of communication. In their own deluded minds, they have preached the “kingdom” in all the inhabited earth.
Of course this is a gospel unknown to the apostles and so they fall under the curse promised in:

Looks like they know that business as usual is nearing its end. They are liquidating to grab as much cash as possible. They likely don't know where the bottom is. Until they do, they'll just sit on as much liquidity as possible.
I do have a question for everyone here. From what I understand, Canada prohibited charities from making loans 2 or 3 years ago. Does anyone know if other countries have passed similar legislation? What about the USA?It is my understanding that the WT cancelled KH loans so as to retain their tax exempt status in Canada.
Did they cancel loans in certain countries or globally?Thanks

Good point. When I realized that my non-belief was actually an intended consequence of the WT experience, I decided to do things "by the book" for a change.
My whole life took off in the right direction after making peace with God and abandoning religion and my own efforts as sources of influencing God. Looking back, I can now see how utterly offensive that was to God.
Unbelievable satisfaction is garnered just from knowing that the WT didn't win in my case. But, in all truthfulness, I have to give God the credit for that too. All the same... I get to walk in the victory parade. -

Glad you brought that out Stucknarut. I have been thinking about that very quote the past few days. I actually used to quote that to my bible students when I was a pioneer.

JWs & "generations"
by Magnum inwe all know what a mess the jw "generation" teachings have been.
but, there is one hard and fast truth concerning jws and "generations" - that is, that many generations of jws have died without the realization of the hope they were promised.. there were many before my grandfather's time, but i'm going to start with his.
his generation, his peers, lived at a time when jwdom was exciting, bold, confident, seemingly deeper and scholarly, seemingly genuinely concerned about the preaching work and saving lives.

Same here. Work out at the gym. Enjoying my family. (The one I started at age 40 after leaving). Planning for retirement. Leaving the subject of "world conditions" in the hands of Christ. Looking forward to starting a wood working hobby this fall on newly acquired acreage property. Made peace with God. Not afraid of death. Will be 55 in two days.
