I would like to bring the above obligation to your attention and ask you how a person can get their sins forgiven while outside of the New Covenant? Just one new testament scripture will be sufficient. I will also offer a $ 10,000 reward for the production of such a New Testament scripture, just to provide a more carnal incentive.

If you could provide such a scripture then I could go back to the KH and be with my rather large family and relatives. So, I am very interested in if you know of a way other than the New Covenant.

it has now been over two years since i was df'd.

in that time i have had limited contact with my 17 year old son, the younger, and almost no contact with my 20 year old.

the older boy was baptized 5 years ago and sadly the younger just recently took the plunge into the "pool-aid".

Those were his words gary neal. I know the Minnonites do not do military service either as others refrain. There is a strong biblical argument for though.

And what would you have them replace the WT worldview with? When my elder brother was dispatched to save me he ignored my facts and logic and zeroed in on "where else could we go" given that all religions participate in the military.

Could you biblically defend military service? How about salvation of the individual and not the group and why this is important? Could you prove that death does not wipe a persons' slate clean from the bible? If you are not able to address military service and salvation, I would get to the bottom of those issues first.

The bread and wine symbolize the contract between a believer and God to get their sins forgiven... not for a governmental position as theWT teaches.

In the Greek, the English words “testament” and “covenant” in the King James Bible are translated from the exact same word. The word simply means a contract. So for clarity, the KJV references below are using the English word “contract” in their places.

What is God’s New Contract For?

The bible is very clear:

For this is my blood of the new contract, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. - Matt 26:28

For this is my contract unto them, when I shall take away their sins – Romans 11: 27

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new contract, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first contract, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. – Hebrews 9:15

For two thousand years, bible-believing Christians have understood the New Testament to say what it means and to mean what it says. They obeyed Jesus’ command to “this do ye” in 1 Cor. 11:25 to drink of the cup and to eat of his symbolic flesh during the Lord ’s Supper which memorialized God’s instrument (Jesus) for getting our sins forgiven and escaping judgment.

The insomnia due to researching the Society and stimulants I took to stay awake led to a mental breakdown and I was hospitalized.

Sorry to hear that discreet slave. The magnitude of the disception is overwhelming.

The "annointed", in the Watchtower organization simply means that the leaders who run the printing presses are Justified (sinless before God). The salvation of everyone else is dependent upon doing what the ones who supposedly are Justified says to do. This is a foreign gospel to the early Christian congregation and is but another "damnable heresy".

Shredding the Organised to Accomplish Our Ministry book

just read through the 2011 letters to usa boe and the 8 february one on disposing of old wt books/magazine struck me as apparently the co needs to authorise their disposal.

what really intrigued me was that the om book was required to have it's cover removed and the pages "shredded".. was everyone in the congegation asked to shred their personal copies too?.

Since when do publishing companies demand that their publications be shredded? They are on their last paranoid noodle. This kind of paranoia in a cult can be deadly. Remember what happened in Jonestown when that leader felt his control slipping.

This is disturbing.

i've wondered this for sometime.

to all of the jws on the forum, what is your opinion on medical cannabis?

i support it for a couple of reasons.. 1. i've battled clinical depression since age 9. after my anti-depressants stopped working when i was 21, i heard about cannabis' positive effects on depression through the internet and a couple of documentaries so i tried it.

Credit Donation Machines in Assembly Halls

i just received an email from the ex-jw meetup group coordinator in phoenix.

she stated that the jws are putting credit donation machines at the assembly halls.

is this true?

I thought Jesus threw out the money dispensers in the temple. I wonder what local elders would do to Jesus if he walked in and did that to their dispensers?
