I'd bet that once some of these new converts really start to examine the deeper truths of Christianity they would come to the same inevitable conclusion that in the end it is no better than the same "we're better you", "god is on our side" doomsday mindset.
Real Christians consider themselves as less than their neighbors, servants of their fellow man: This man has a pretty amazing testimony.

The Watchtower Version of Judgment vs. The Bible

What I was astounded to learn after leaving the WT was that there is no general judgment described in the Bible. In fact, there are at least three judgments.
First, there is the judgment of church age believers at the judgment seat of Christ (1 Cor. 3:11-15). This is a judgment of those who have trusted Christ and built their lives upon that solid foundation. Their ministries for Christ will be examined to see if they will be rewarded or not. Regardless of whether they win or lose rewards, they will be saved. “ If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire ” (1 Cor. 3:15).
Second, there is the judgment of the nations following the Great Tribulation. This is described in Matthew 25. These are not New Testament believers from the Church age. That group have by this time already been raptured away and received immortality and glorified bodies like Jesus has. These are perhaps billions of general folks who happen to survive the rise and fall of the Anti-Christ and his global wars and now stand in their mortal bodies at the very dawn of Christ's reign from Jerusalem here on earth. Jesus will sort these folks out.
Third, there is the judgment at the Great White Throne for the unsaved at the end of the Millennium. This is described in Revelation 20:11-15. These are judged by their works according to God’s holy law and condemned and cast into the lake of fire. -

Agreed. But, I wasn't talking about Catholics or Protestants, or evangelicals...just simple people who heard about Jesus and believed on him. Millions of these kinds of Christians have always existed over the last two millenia.

Thoughts on Jesus' Resurrection
by Perry ini think that in our various discussions about life after the wt, we many times forget about the cornerstone of christian life - the resurrection.
the implications of the existence a man who holds the power of life and death is manifold.
it makes discussions about the existence of god obsolete.. for all of scientists' accomplishments they have never been able to make even one amobea come alive from non-life.

Perry: What's your thought on Joseph Smith, do you believe he found the Golden Plates after being directed to their location by an Angel??
My thoughts are just exactly the same for Joseph Smith as they are for the WT who also peddles New Light. The bibles plainly says that the Gospel message is fixed in time and cannot be changed without being cursed.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal. 1: 8
In light of this scripture; How Joseph Smith or Rutherford who jettisoned the New Covenant for the "great crowd" , could change the basic message that was preached by the apostles, still just boggles my mind.

In other words isn't the end game of Christianity the exact same as Islam, in that all the "bad" people will be purged to purify the earth so everyone is a worshipper of god? Inferring that Christianity on its own is somehow superior to Islam doesn't make sense.
Islam is a works-based geo-political system. Jesus, who is the founder and object of Christianity wanted his disciples to exist along side the political system, acknowledging that service to others isn't dependent on their personal views. Paying Caesar's things to caesar and Gods things to God.
While it is true that the Holy Roman Empire was also a geo-political empire, all-throughout history bible believing Christians rejected this monstrosity.

Cofty, I'm definitely not looking forward to anything other than peace and well-being for everyone. I don't mean to come off any other way, but I'm sure my sometimes brevity doesn't help.
It is the anti-christ that is prophesied to cause all the trouble. Jesus appears to stop total annilation of humans. I know the WT paints a picture of Jesus coming and killing all the non-JW's; but that is not the general Christian view.

If the UN at some future time will have the authority to identify the false ones, which we can reasonably infer as the same people as goat-like members of false religions , then what would happen now to our Lord Jesus Christ ROLE as the one to execute judgement on who will be the sheep and who will be the goats?
The "judgment of the nations" happens immediately after Jesus defeats the Anti-Christ. By that time, 2/3 of earth's population will have been killed due to the wars of the anti-christ. This is what's left of mankind at the very beginning of the Millenium rule.

If Jesus were alive he did nothing to stop the wholesale slaughter of Jews by Christians.
Well the perps were eventually stopped and the Jews got their own homeland shortly thereafter. Those responsible who died without trusting Jesus will be personally judged by him and punished. But, this off topic.
God can either make sin impossible or he can judge sin. He judges sin. The resurrection proves that Jesus has this authority. That's why there is no downside to trusting in Jesus even in a hostile environment, like there was in the 1st century, and like there is in Islamic countries today.
