The Local KH is really going to hate me for this (Verses included, LONG.)
by Zone ini'm launching a out out blitzkreg on these people, for two reasons only.. 1. to get them saved.. 2, and if they want to, get them holy ghost filled.. 3 years of research, and it's pretty sad that most of these people won't even see the promise land, because alot of them deny being saved, and refsue to recieve salvation when offered.
it's also pretty sad that these people the church is apart of false religion (conderticts ephisians 4:11 and really would put ezekiel 38-39 null invoid), the holy spirit is god's active force (multiple verses).
most of them will evenrefuse to talk to you, if you ask a question that bad mouthes the watchtower society.

Cofty,
There is nothing superstitious about Iran developing nuclear weapons. Iran is following the identical path that North Korea followed with all the inspection nonsense we all witnessed for years. Immediately after Obama bowed to the "King" of Tehran, they promised to harm the USA.
Your a priori commitment to materialism reminds me of a man who was convinced he was dead. His wife tried everything to get him to see that he was really alive. Finally, she convinced him to see a doctor. The doctor took an instrument and pricked his finger and blood came out. The man reeled in pain and angrily asked the doctor, Why did you cut me?" The doctor wryly replied, "Can dead men bleed"?
The man stared at his bleeding finger and slowly said, "I never believed dead people could bleed, until now".

johnamos,
Yes, there are many interesting points made. What I find most interesting is that when this video was published 18 months ago, they had no way of knowing that Iran would be given a green light by Obama / Kerry for a pathway for becoming a nuclear superpower. .... not to mention infusing it with hundreds of billions of dollars. This previously seemed very unlikely since Iran is the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism.... but today it is a reality.
The idea that Iran will one day nuke Mecca and that Turkey will emerge as the regional "peace" maker by cutting a deal with Israel seems more and more plausible, even likely.
For all my EX JW friends who are not yet Christian, here's some FYI.
Many bible scholars do not believe that the Battle of Armageddon is the next end times battle depicted in prophecy. Most see at least three:
1. Psalms 83 war
2. Ezekiel 38 & 39 war
3. Armageddon battle
BTW, by the time Armageddon is fought (if you can call it it a fight, since Jesus wins with a single word spoken from his mouth) 2/3 of mankind will have already died from wars of the Anti-Christ.
Contrary to what the Watchtower says, Armageddon is NOT God's judgment upon men. It is God acting decisively to save a remnant of disobedient Israel as well as what's left of the rest mankind from the Anti-Christ, who is Satan incarnate.
Instead of Aramgeddon being feared, it will be a tremendous hope for believers during the tribulation period because the insanity of the nations instigated by man's chief enemy will finally come to an end.

Family Reuinion and Being Disfellowshipped (sorry...but it's long)
by babygirl30 init has been a long looong time since i posted on here, but never ceased reading all the posts and keeping up on the changes that have been going on!
but it just seems that now i have a need to get something off my chest, and this is the one place that will most definitely understand the topic at hand.
i have been disfellowshipped for about 8yrs now, and have dealt with the 'consequences' of that decision: all my so-called friends in the org left and i was also abandoned by my own family.

I enjoyed your story very much. I was feeling down several years ago about the practices of Jehovah's Witnesses. I have long likened the Watchtower to the Sicilian mafia, where you can join but can't later leave without consequences.
A friend of mine changed my perspective.
My friend is an ex-Detroit SWAT Team cop. He also served in the armed forces during the Vietnam conflict. He was also raised in an Islamic family, but later became a bible-believing Christian when he was well into adulthood.
He explained to me that when he became a Christian, his father looked him in the eye and told him that he was lucky to live in America, because if they were back in Pakistan he would be required to kill him.
Jehovah's Witnesses are not required to kill us for leaving the Watchtower printing company. I began to see myself as being in relatively pretty good shape compared to hundreds of millions of Muslims. Many are not as fortunate.
From the Hadith:
The reason why executing apostates has always been well-ensconced in Islamic law is that there is an indisputable record of Muhammad and his companions doing exactly that according to the reliable Hadith.
According to verse 4:80 of the Quran: "Whoso obeyeth the Messenger obeyeth Allah."
Bukhari (52:260) - "...The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "
Note that there is no distinction as to how that Muslim came to be a Muslim.
There is always someone who has it worse.

Yearly ex-jw pride parade
How about EX-JW humility parades where people claiming to be Christian actually submit to the direct authority and Mediatorship of Jesus Christ, and him alone.

The 1995 Generation Change
by sloppyjoe2 ini was just a teenager and have a vivid memory of sitting in a chair doing a microphone for the sunday meeting.
everyone was commenting that it didn't mean the end was far off, and it didn't change the condition of the dead, or the 144,000, or the trinity so we should still remain faithful.
this is my first memory as a kid being just a teen that i ever had a single doubt.

That was the last straw for me. I knew they were just making stuff up as they went along after that WT article. I moved off to college shortly thereafter. -
