i am one who never wanted to bring reproach on god's name.
i will admit using the word jehovah now makes me feel rather icky...like i am promoting a lie of sorts.
I am not against using God's name in different forms, or Jesus' name in different forms.
There have been times that I have just signed "JH" in ASL when talking to Jehovah.
It's not the pronunciation that counts. When I pray to God silently, He still knows I'm talking to Him.

Moses was taught in all the language and writing of the Egyptians.
Aaron lived in Egypt his whole life up to the point of the Exodus.
Those men went in to Pharaoh and spoke to him about Jehovah the God of the Hebrews.
They used Jehovah's name in Egyptian.

What exactly are these "signs"? They are word pictures.
In a court of law, how is evidence presented? Most evidence is presented in words.
Words are a form of "signs." Language itself is not "tangible" in the same way that physical items you can touch are tangible. You can measure sound and speed and inflection, but the way language works is by symbolizing something else.
I can tell you you're about to be run over by a bus, but if you don't want to heed the warning, it doesn't matter how much I tell you about the evidence I've seen. If you want to stand in the road, you're going to stand in the road.

The Revelation to John was through Jesus and used the name of Jehovah throughout. Even though enemies of God sought to erase His name from the manuscripts those enemies were too stupid to erase it from the "Hallelujah" portions of that book.
Enemies of God are stupid. You can't fight against Jehovah and win. It's not possible. It's actually really ridiculous to watch, and that's why it says at Psalm 2 that Jehovah laughs at them.
Jesus' name means "Jehovah is Salvation." Jesus wants us to worship Jehovah.
I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of someone who is making false statements about Jesus or Jehovah. Not cool. Not wise.

It only makes sense that there wasn't an English version of Jehovah's name until recent centuries, since there wasn't an English language until recent centuries. π
on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

In my personal experience, I was not raised reading the Bible. I read Anne Rice. I had extra schooling in ancient Egyptian religious teachings from a young age. I learned about Canopic jars and The Book of the Dead way before I learned the first book of the Bible was Genesis. (I didn't know the first book of the Bible was Genesis until I was 24 years old. To me, Genesis was a band with Phil Collins.)
As a youth, I lived for a time in the Salem Massachusetts area and learned a lot about witchcraft. We watched a lot of spiritistic and violent entertainment growing up. That was what I learned about, not the Bible.
Mythology, fantasy, immorality and violence were what I learned about growing up.
It wasn't until later in life that I really learned about Jehovah and Jesus and the Bible. My mom had been around the Watchtower when I was very young, but we didn't go all the time, and then she was disfellowshipped when I was about seven or so years old.
Anyway, my point in sharing that is that your logic doesn't pan out. Ancient Egyptian mystery rites are old, and as you said, just because it's old doesn't make it right.
But at the same time, the earth is old and it is real. The sun is old and it is real. Jesus is old and he is real. Jehovah is outside of time and He is more Real than anything on this earth or in this universe.
Not all of our parents made mistakes. Jesus has never made a mistake, and he came to stand in Adam's place as our first father. If we are wise, we will look to him for truth. He's never lied to anyone.

I saw Jehovah answer my prayers in a "fox-hole" moment prior to even studying with JWs.
I've seen Him do stuff for me since leaving WT.
Jehovah's been there for me through everything. It's just like is says in Isaiah...

I love Jehovah's name because I love Jehovah.
The Watchtower is here today gone tomorrow, but Jehovah is forever.
I will love Him forever. My love for Him is not based on some temporary lying organization that falsely claims to represent Him.
Jehovah is the real deal. "He Causes To Become." I know Him. He answers when I call. He's Our Father, and He's not limited by whether or not someone pronounces His name slightly different if they're Chinese or Indian or Greek or Hebrew or English or whatever...

Another way of saying it, "He's The Man."
Anyway, I've seen Him save me from impossible situations when no one else was there to help me. He's done it again and again and again. There is no denying Him. I know Him by name. He's going to fix everything. I know not everybody sees Him yet. But they will. It's just a matter of time. Everyone will, just like in Egypt.
