  How can JW's have a CLUE what the New Covenant is about...

  it-1 p. 524 covenant - the covenant is forever in operation.... it-1 p. 524 covenant - the purpose of the new covenant requires that it continue in operation until all of the “israel of god” are resurrected to immortality in the heavens.. the new covenant is forever in operation, but only until the "anointed" have popped their clogs, been raptured to heaven, and morphed into 144,000 melchizedek king-priests.

  (just like christ!).

  Bottom line: If JW's accept the Borg's false reasoning and dogma that John 5:29 points to vile things being practiced (to do something regularly or repeatedly) during Christ's 1000 years reign, they must also accept that Revelation 2:27 - "...he will shepherd the people with an iron rod" & Revelation 12:5 - "...who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod” are both gross exaggerations.

  Christ will have to sit back and watch as evildoers practice vile deeds, while a powerless Tony Morris & his 143,999 sidekicks sip a heavenly Macallan malt.

  Christ's "iron rod" is non-existent.

  Hey Joe, you are NOT an apostate if you still believe in Christianity. You are simply a heretic of the denomination known as Jehovah's Witnesses. Don't adopt the Borg's abusive language.

  Heretic: a person who has views that do not conform to the views of their particular religion.

  Apostate: a person who totally rejects a belief system that they used to subscribe to, e.g. Christianity.

  By not D.A., you are choosing what's best for you - and your dad. I have known several elderly JW's who were simply abandoned when they needed help and assistance - especially when dumped into nursing homes.

  where your mental image of a place does not match up with where you intellectually know it actually is?

  1. great britain: i always picture it to the west of france.

  if i'm reading about the norman invasion or d-day i always see it in my head as crossing the channel east-west / west-east.

  Britain in relation to Europe isn't even properly represented on TV weather forecasters' maps.

  They show Britain as being vertical next to Europe when in reality it's at an angled position, giving the illusion that Cornwall is the most westerly part in Britain.   "Proskyneo" is consistently translated as "worship" in the King James. "Proskyneo" is applied 21 times to the Father and 17 times to the Son.

  Perhaps the KJ (and others) are often too keen to interpret proskyneo as "worship."

  in the women's euro tournament, england beat germany 2-1 at wembley!!!.

  i'll be honest - i've never really been that interested in women's football.

  no, it's not because i'm a sexist pig, it's just that i was brought up on men's football and haven't had a tv license for the past 10 years.. but this win could really put women's football on the map, at least in britain.. there has been a bit of hysteria about the nickname 'lionesses' but i think it's a great name.

  Micah 5:4 - “And he will certainly stand and do shepherding in the strength of Jehovah, in the superiority of the name of Jehovah HIS God.

  @ Rattigan350 - there is a problem - if you don't know what is 'old' and what is 'new.'

  Here are just some of the references to prove the Borg always taught that people would practice vile deeds in the new world:

  it-2 p. 138 - Those resurrected will not be judged on the basis of the works done in their former life, because the rule at Romans 6:7 says: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”

  w82 5/15 p. 9 - This means that when a person is resurrected he will be judged according to what he does during Judgment Day, not on the basis of what he did before he was resurrected.

  g 1/10 p. 11 - Will the judgment of resurrected ones be based on what they did before their death? No. The Bible teaches that “he who has died has been acquitted from his sin.” (Romans 6:7) So, like those who survive the end of this system, those resurrected to life on earth will be judged “according to their deeds” during Judgment Day.

  wt chap. 9 p. 87 par. 14 - They will be “judged individually according to their deeds” performed after their resurrection.

  pe chap. 21 p. 180 par. 13 - We have clearly seen that when the dead come forth from the grave, they are not judged by their past deeds. Rather, they are judged on the basis of what they do during Judgment Day. [millenium] So when Jesus mentioned “those who did good things” and “those who practiced vile things,” he was referring to the good things and bad things that they would do during Judgment Day.

  rs p 339 - If we were to take the view that people were going to be condemned on the basis of deeds in their past life, that would be inconsistent with Romans 6:7.

  uw chap. 9 p. 76 par. 12 - They will be “judged individually according to their deeds” performed after their resurrection.

  w73 4/15 p. 240 par. 35 - It is only after any who have been resurrected from “hell” return to evildoing willfully that their having been resurrected will end up in a judgment of condemnation to everlasting destruction.

  w65 1/1 p. 20 par. 5 - However, does that mean that even those practicing vile things after their resurrection are going to keep on living in this new system of things?
