  Is Anyone Happy That Police Forces Are Being Abolished or scut??

  in minneapolis, the city council has voted to abolish the police.. many cities want to either disband or defund the police.

  black lives matter and other groups have influenced citizens and neighborhoods to get rid of police and their authority.

  is anyone really supportive of removing the police or cutting out law enforcement through the budget?

  @ minimus - having no authorised law-enforcement officers on the streets of Minneapolis, combined with the right to bear arms, sounds like a sure-fire recipe for martial law being introduced in order to end the inevitable anarchy.

  @ Kosonen - the JW trap of transforming/believing that a man-made scenario or natural disaster is "a sign of the end," should be apparent after all these years of failed predictions by the org.

  If/when an event is divinely instigated, I'm pretty sure that anyone with "insight" won't need to guess or speculate. Divine intervention will probably be pretty apparent by its nature.

  North of the border in Scotland, people aren't even permitted to use public toilets - which they fund via their Council Tax.

  I assume that the councils will be offering partial refunds to tax-payers as compensation for "locking down" such necessary services. 2020 - The year of Little Napoleons.

  we used to use this scripture to show that there was going to be a future resurrection.

  but recently i got to thinking about it.

  if the apostle paul was right in saying that the righteous on death would be changed in the twinkling of an eye from earthly life to heavenly glory why would there be a future resurrection needed for the righteous?

  (1 Corinthians 15:51-53) Look! I tell you a sacred secret: We will not all fall asleep in death, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the blink of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we will be changed. 53 For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption,

  v 51 - those who are living at "the end" will be changed instantly from a dying to an undying condition as v 53 shows. Paul says nothing about anyone being transported from planet earth. (The meek will inherit the earth and live forever upon it - according the Bible at least! (Psalm 37:9,11,29; Matthew 5:5; Rev. 21:3,4) If some Christians are headed for heaven, then the org must be right about the 2 classes in Christianity.
