  Good for Mario, it just goes to show you that Jehovah's witnesses are low life scum for abandoning him after he was faithful in much, no matter what he did they need to show unconditional love. Shows that they are part of the wild beast.

  My mother was in a nursing home for a year or so and not one j-dub visited her, but the baptist came and visited and took her to their church. That's what I call being a true Christian.

  i mean, i had respect for the guy, and it's obviously right to be there for the family and show support.

  however, i can imagine what it will be like going back.

  i was friendly with a lot of the older, tougher sisters, so i'm sure they'll get on my case.

  I went to and ex family members funeral just to let them know I was still alive and sporting my beard, because I knew it would irritate them.

  They creamate dead J-dubs now, so the money you would have spent on the funeral can be donated to the BORG.

  the last picture at the end of the article shows a picture of a weapon, hammer cocked, on top of a wt in spanish.

  Sounds like they are looking for a smack down from the cartel. ( God will not protect the stupid who put him to the test. Even Jesus didn't put his father to the test. What makes these MORONS think jah will protect them, they are deceiving themselves.)

  Or could it be they are transporting drugs for the cartel. Could be done easily, but officer I'm a Jehovah's witness I wouldn't do that, yeah right.

  a controversial coney island principal has pulled the plug on patriotism.. her refusal to let students sing god bless the usa at their graduation has sparked fireworks at a school filled with proud immigrants.. greta hawkins, principal of ps 90, the edna cohen school, wont allow kindergartners to belt out the beloved lee greenwood ballad, also known as proud to be an american, at their moving-up ceremony.. context: middle correlation photo five classes spent months learning the patriotic song, which skyrocketed in popularity after the 9/11 attacks and the 2003 invasion of iraq.it was to be the rousing finale of their musical show at the june 20 commencement.

  the kids, dressed up for their big day, would wave tiny american flags which, as the lyrics proclaim, still stand for freedom.. but hawkins marched in on a recent rehearsal and ordered a cd playing the anthem to be shut off, staffers said.. she told the teachers to drop the song from the program.. we dont want to offend other cultures, they quoted her as explaining.. the curt edict stunned both staff and parents.. a lot of people fought to move to america to live freely, so that song should be sung with a whole lot of pride, said mom luz lozada, whose son, daniel, is in kindergarten.. the song has been sung at previous school events.

  last years fifth-graders, including another lozada child, performed it at graduation.. everybody applauded and whistled, the mom said.

  JW, Religion, Cult or Pyramid Scheme?

  hello.. here is some thought provoking debate that may help people investigate the true nature of the watch tower society.. this surely should be something that everyone who belongs to the society and any one who plans to convert should do.. i did this myself, after getting involved with a girl who was a fanatical jw and by doing so, i believe that i discovered the true nature of the wt.. but please, do not take my word for it, please do your own research and reading.. this is really important as by signing up or getting baptised as a jw, you are basically surendering your own personal rights to an unknown authority who proclaims to speak for god.

  and by doing so you will suffer major negative socio-economic implications on a daily basis due to the restrictions and demands enforced by those involved and in control of the ws.. personally, learning how the watch tower society got started was enough to convince me that the watch tower society is not what it proclaims to be.

  my suspicions were compounded after learning more about nathan knors (past president of the watch tower society) involvement with the nazi's in the second world war.. for those out there who do not know how the watch tower society got started, i recommend that you research the main man behind it joseph franklin rutherford, as it was not as many jw's believe, charles taze russel who started the society but russel's lawyer joseph franklin rutherford, a man whom in my opinion was of questionable character, who underhandedly seized power over russel's followers after russel's death.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/watch_tower_society_presidency_dispute_(1917).

  How many here smoke?

  i don't and am very unlikely to after seeing my father dying of a smoking related lung disease (even though i would like to try a high quality cigar).. but i am curious to see how many people take up smoking after leaving the org.. .

  Angus: Like yourself my father died of cancer and it was not a pleasant thing to witness. I did smoke while I was in the Army for a few years and broke the habit, thankfully. The tobacco industry adds a lot of different additives to get you hooked.

  My advise to anyone reading this, please dont start this bad habit, it not only destroys your lungs but your breath will smell like a filthy ash tray, not to mention that you will smell like smoke. I'd rather smell like cologne and other people will appreciate it as well.

  i've only very recently discovered this site and have been reading many compelling personal accounts and testimonials.

  i'd like to share my own as well.. i was born into 'the truth' in the early 1970s.

  along with my several (fleshly) brothers and sisters, i went through the usual travails of a witness boy - not celebrating birthdays, not pledging allegiance to the flag, not singing christmas carols in the class chorus.

  How Do You Deal With The Shunning You Receive From "Captive" Witnesses?

  i am liking don's term "captive to a concept" more and more, it explains so much about the mindset of average dubs.. to those who are being activily shunned, how does it affect you when you see former friends and family, do the sideway's crab-walk to get away?

  you are not alone, shunning is happening to weaker witnesses in the congregations, this practice is not sanctioned by the watchtower society, this trait is straight from satan the devil, it pure evil and cruel!

  as i post, this new trait is being taught to the power player's apprentices, teaching them how to do the "weak witnesses exit stage left!
