  Healthworker: Getting an education by going to college is not Apostacy, it is common sense. Of course it is frowned upon by the BORG but that would be our own personal decision to do so. The society deems it a waste of time for rank and file members because as they believe the end is right around the corner. What they don't tell you is that they send select ones who are to become lawyers to college, so that they can defend the WB&TS in various legal cases. Follow your dreams and forget about the hypocrites at the top.

  According to the official secret ELDERS MANUAL 2010 Apostasy is a standing away from true worship, a falling away, defection, rebellion, abandonment. It includes the following: celebrating false holidays, participation in interfaith activities,deliberately spreading teachings contrary to bible truth as taught by jehovahs witnesses, causing divisions and promoting sects, continuing in employment that makes one an accomplice to or a promoter off false worship, spiritism, idolatry, drunkenness, gluttony, stealing, thievery, deliberate, malicious lying, bearing false witness, fraud, slander, reviling, obscene speech, greed gambling, extortion,refusal of taking care of ones family,fits of anger, violence, professional boxing.

  Why we really SHOULD trust the Governing Body...

  it seems that, in my haste to scrutinize the teachings of the governing body and see whether they are actually in line with bible teachings, i have overlooked one important factor which indicates that they really can be trusted as those "taking the lead" in god's organization..... ...apparently, their weekly meetings sometimes run past 5 o'clock!!

  i would like to apologise for any undue criticism i may have levelled at the governing body on this forum or elsewhere.. if i had been aware of the above information, i would obviously have been far more willing to humbly accept their leadership.. .

  the u k (media at least ) is beside itself with the olympic games.. it seems that we have been hearing about it for ever, in fact perhaps around 6 years..but now it is here!

  the day has arrived and the show is ready to roll.. life is like that, it may be a personal milestone in life, like leaving school , or retiring from work.

  what once seemed so far off creeps up on you and it finally happens, your life changes.

  I will say this, I've never in my life read so much and studied so much, until after I left the BORG. Spirituality is something the J-dubs talk about and base on reading the Watchtower and awake mags, which is written by FALSE PROPHETS KNOWN AS THE GOVERNING BODY.

  We all know and are aware that the bible alone cannot keep us spiritually fed according the the BORG. if we read the bible only we will find ourselves in spiritual darkness. That is pure BULL S**T. So l guess I'm a realist.

  Being a young man at the age of 16, I like a fool got baptized. Didn't want to die in 1975 at Armageddon. Their was so much talk about it coming by elders and rank and file that is scared the bejesus out of me. WHAT A SUCKER I WAS!!!!

  Zeb: I think that was a pipe dream by another poster who said he was a friend of a G.B. member, who said he was going to change the policy because he was going to marry a sweet young thing. Don't count on it. The society does do a lot of flip flopping on its stand. Why worry about it any way? Do what you want to do and keep your mouth shut about it.

  In the words of the boxer MIKE TYSON " IT'S BETWEEN ME AND GOD". It would behoove us to heed his words literally.

  i recall the discomfort i had trying to get into a conversation about this nonsense.
