In past lived in: Montreal, Val d'Or, Ottawa, North Bay, Barrie, Bradford, London (Ontario), Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Banff, Calgary, Vancouver, New York City, Athens (Greece), Zurich (Switzerland), Milano (Italy)...and Toronto (including Mississauga & Brampton)...and finally settled in.... (drum roll please)....

...my favourite city, for the reason it's not really a city (except for the old city of York which makes up the extreme downtown close to the lake which is simply my favourite part of town!) but a collection of smaller villages and neighbourhoods that give it a totally different multi-ethnic flavour than anywhere else I've been...and the city you ask? Why, Toronto of course!

And when I say Toronto, I mean close to downtown...anything north of Eglinton Avenue, east of Leslie Street, or west of Dufferin is the suburbs to me... LOL

Anyone here into vinyl?

anyone here into vinyl?.

no this is nothing pervy.. i'm in a musical mood today and one of my passions is buying records.. (not collecting records as i actually buy them to listen to).

i still buy records on vinyl rather than cd when i can, the packaging is much better and if you have a good record player so is the sound.. it getting hard to find much nowadays in a lot of record stores.. theres an excellent record shop near me though that stocks a ton of the stuff.now wheres all my wages gone?

I've been playing vinyl quite a bit lately...to record them onto:
1. An AKAI reel-to-reel running at 15ips, & simultaneously
2. my Mac computer in AIFF (similar to a PCs WAVE but much better) ProTools version that's sampled at 96khz/24bits (to preserve as much of the detail & harmonics as possible), put them through a snap-crackle-pop filter, hiss remover, and then burn them onto data-DVD discs! That way, I can preserve my vinyl collection.

It seemed that no matter how much care you take, each time you play vinyl, you loose a little bit more of the detail (as the grooves flattened out just a little bit more each time) and more snap-crackle-pop was getting introduced. :-(

We have among the best beers here in Canada...so beverage wise, you never know how the story may go!

But, I thought that biting was always optional!

Apostates in Kingston Ontario,here I come!

well i am going to kingston this weekend for my annual hockey tournament,we will be getting very drunk and searching for any willing women at the iron horse or as we call it the aluminum pony.

the weekend is never complete without a visit to the local kingdom hall for urinal relief!.

A hockey game against fanatic JWs? That sounds great!!!

Kind of like in the movie "The longest yard" where the inmates played a game of football against the guards! I wonder who we can recruit to be on our team!!!
