  Hey Xander,

  I just tried it from my work using 4 different computers (2 Macs, 2 PCs, one with Win98 and another with XP Pro) and by clicking on the link provided above, a second page opened. On that second page are the two actual links to the Dateline files....the 6MB file and the 14MB file.

  Has anyone else had any problems getting through to the links page?

  Hey all,

  For those interested in a better version of the DatelineNBC video, just go to the same web-address as before:

  http://12.239.160.163/elsewhere/DatelineNBCMay28_2002.htm

  You'll have two options to choose from (by right clicking and saving to disk)...the original 6MB file...or the better quality 14MB file!

  The .mov extension is standard in the Mac world....you'll need QuickTime5 player or newer to see this video...you can download the PC version from the Apple web-site (Mac users already have it pre-installed).

  now, let's just hold on here!.

  i see all these posts about getting copies of the nbc "dateline" show.

  aired tuesday night about the jehovah witnesses and pedophiles/rapists.... and posters here are actually requesting that others send them free copies.

  For those who want to check for themselves to see if this is really the Dateline show on-line, just right click on the following URL and save it to your hard drive!

  After you've verified that it is indeed the Dateline NBC show, you must delete it off your hard drive! (wink wink)

  Dateline NBC available as a QuickTime download...

  i was able to digitize, and compress the entire dateline nbc show into the smallest file i could manage.

  the sound is ok, the picture so so....but you'll get the full impact of the show.. the only program that i have that can send files is icq, so if you don't have icq, just go over to www.download.com, put icq in the search, install the latest version, get yourself a new icq number...and then add my number to your contact list.. my number is 161294253...or alternatively, you can find me under my e-mail address of [email protected].

  I was finally able to upload the file to somoeone that has a web-site that can host it and has the bandwidth for people to download from. For the URL, please contact me directly at my e-mail...

  I'll get a better quality version (but larger file to download) available in a couple more days.
