  WTBS CORP/ CONTROLLED BY NON JWS!!??

  just pondering over a few things i have been reading.. 1.annual corporate meeting oct 6, 2001. with all the weird changes in the last year...red light alert!.

  2. since it was the 337 voting members who had the biggest say so as to the changes last year in removing the gb...... (and they are non jws)....what else will they or have they done?.

  the only reason they don't send the gb home, and it's not because they care about their elderly, is the fact without them as puppets up there, most jws might wake up and smell the kool-aid!.

  OK Seeker,

  Maybe I didn't understand everything properly.

  From what I read:

  -wasn't it stated that before 1945 anyone (meaning non-JWs) could also buy shares?

  -if anyone could buy shares, isn't that a public offerring?

  -if there are shares involved, doesn't that mean that the corporation (at least the part of it that has the shares) is not a non-profit corporation?

  -if there are non-JWs that vote, then isn't the society trying to hide it by omitting that? (Lying by omission)

  If what I stated above is not true, then please explain it, by going back to the original statements that were made (by someone else), and debunk them point by point.

  where might i obtain one?

  Since on many occasions, the Watchtower and Awake bound volumes have been altered from what was originally printed, and newer editions of hard covered books have also been altered compared to the originals, who's to say that the CDs haven't also been tampered with?

  They call it "New LIght".....I call it deception.

  Who's to say that after we all arrive, we don't decide to walk somewhere nearby for fooood & beeeer (as a couple of you have indicated is your preference for an evening drink) since like some of you, I also finish work around 5PM and I'll be hungry!

  If we do decide to leave and head somewhere else, we won't do that until at least 7PM to give a chance to the latecomers to arrive.

  Does that sound agreeable to everyone?

  It just blows me away that the WTS:

  1-had a public stock offerring to raise cash when we were always lead to believe that they are a not-for-profit corporation
  2-some (maybe the majority) stockholders controlling the corporation aren't JWs
  3-the WTS thinks they can keep this quiet indefinately
