  Mercurious - your statement is very generalized I must say. Perhaps you are getting your "perception" from all your media/information sources depicting feminists as the neo-nazi feminists screaming into their microphones, carrying on their protests, and not being very "feminine" or demur in their behaviors with aesthetic apeasement?

  Most women these days are "feminists" - I know very few (unless they're still at some church) who do not believe in the equality of women, so I'm not sure what your point is here. You are definitely talking about 2 different issues. Yes, pretty women can generally become a "token wife" or "head trophy" at times for a man with money - but I dare say in this day & age, and with the sexes striving towards equality - men definitely want more in a relationship than just a good hot body. In this day & age, both sexes can have both - so you really have no valid argument other than your own perceptions.

  P.S. My husband says I'm the most beautiful neo-nazi feminist he knows - and I have to type this because he makes all the money - can't give up on that don't ya know! Now, I'm off to the gym to keep this money grabbing body in fit enough shape to keep my sugar daddy, then back to my school work to finish my masters in Psychology!

  last year on july 15th, 2002, my cardiologist gave me less than a year to live.

  with the 14 remaining blocked arteries, there was not much hope.

  even a by-pass would only correct 3 or 4 arteries and give me a slight lease on life.

  Couldn't agree more if I had too! Cassi seems to be able to respond to all, and be a friend to those that most sorely need one. Always a word of encouragement, regardless of the own sufferings within her own life. Grace, Dignety, Intelligence, Warmth, Kindess - damn - Maximum is one lucky man!

  JC's are awful, emotionally/mentally draining & can be quite traumatic. People you once considered friends seemingly ready to gang up & label you just to give themselves something to do, and some excitement in their own lives (at least that's what I believe).

  had to miss the barbie due to family commitments.

  however - what are you others all doing whilst our revered elder statesman (nearly said elders - sorry) are all away from their screens........?.

  with simon, angharad, englishman etc all happily roasting themselves as well as the steak (temperatures are in the 80's f) who is watching the shop and stopping all us children eating all the sweets (or squabbling) ?

  "this is not a posting to point the finger at any particular individual, but to hopefully share some relevant findings concerning apostate operation with this board.

  the question of what constitutes apostasy, or rather what doesnt constitute apostasy does not proffer the obscure indeterminate answer that some opponents have assumed.

  instead, it is a keenly documented scriptural truth that pries into the heart and emotional inclination of all people whether mindful of it or not.

  Interesting read, will have to re-read as some of it was quite "wordy" - definitely not laid out in layman terms! But what I got from it was that the author is basically saying (in a nutshell) that those who cannot/do not want to follow along the moral guidelines of any particular faith may use that as an opportunity to scrutinize the faith to the point where they no longer have to follow those guidelines, and in their quest may bring down others with them.

  All I can say to this is that the scripture where Jesus said anyone false witnessing in his name, not to follow. Based on that scripture, and all the known & well documented errors in not only reasoning, but also false prophecy, the JW's do not fit the bill. And the JW's are one of the few religions that condemns unconditionally anyone to death that does not follow their faith to the tee.

  my hiusband and i left the organization almost a year ago.

  since then, i've thought many times of a friend who had da'd herself about 4 years ago.

  a few weeks after she'd da'd herself we passed in a bathroom at a local store.

  I had the same thing happen to me a few months back, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life! To reconnect with a dear friend, and find that friendship can exist even outside the confines of the WBTS - it was like reconnecting with part of my past that I couldn't reconcile. Very healing indeed (and I made a new wonderful friend out of the deal!).

  Do we on this board have a tighter group than other boards?

  there must be hundreds of thousands of message boards.. i wonder if those who post here feel as though this particular site has a stronger knit of people than other boards.. we have so much in common, yet of course different.

  is the fact that we used to be witnesses a stronger string to each other than other common interest groups?

  Well, I'd definitely say there are some tight posters here, but there's an awful lot of "loose" ones too (I'll leave the reader to discern!)

  Its a wonderful community - no longer a coffee shop (just way to big for that) - its a village - and I've been nominated on numerous occassions to be the "village idiot"! Everyone just has to find their own "niche".
