i brought this up during the beginnings of the flame war we just encountered and it got overlooked.
for all of you who follow the bible/or not.

gotta throw this one past my mom!!! Thanks Valis
do they still make family movies?
it look like things that get produced these days by holyywood filled with f word, sex, violence, drug use and hurling.
no movies hardly to take your kids to or that a christian can watch.
Well, medicine man is now on ppv, um....off the top of my head - november rain, the wedding planner, the time machine (personal fav), joe somebody, mad about mambo, powder, nutty professor 2, pie in the sky,
just look - they're all over the place,
clearly there is a lot of hate still lingering among many exjw's.
my coming to these boards about a year ago was an intersting and a growing experience.
i have learned a lot and it has helped me to feel even better about my decision to leave the wt.
Kelsey - perhaps you have nothing to gain or lose by your posts here, but others I'm sure have gained much. Open minded individuals that have read your slants on issues have learned, even if they don't necessarily agree w/you.
I pray your son comes to a full & speedy recovery. Bacterial menengitis took the life of my cousin. This period of recovery sounds as if it has been difficult, and I'm sorry you found no comfort here. Jon sounds like a brave soul w/much spirit - it is people like these that we learn the best values in life from.
I hope you pop in from time to time - I for one found your posts interesting, heartfelt, warm & sincere for the most part (except in the heat of battle).
And as Larc said, its hard to remember sometimes the face behind the writings on a DB.....but there were alot of people here I think (even if they didn't post alot) who care about you & your family.
Good luck ((((Kelsey))))
musings on children, ex-jw wars, & truth seeking
i think that children represent a real and credible threat to the wt.
children by nature are inquisitive and require explanations, which requires two way communication.
Total agreement HoChi - a keeper
Thanks Perry!
found this in the paper this morning and i laughed till i cried.... my cousin, dr. michael watson of bamberg, s.c., recently retired from 48 years of practice at the age of 76. i hope that this does mean he has resolved to abstain from sending me such e-mails as this:.
a man comes into the er and yells "my wife's going to have her baby in the cab!
" i grabbed my stuff, rushed out to the cab, lifted the lady's dress, and began to take off her panties.
Good stuff Mrs. Shakita!!!! Good stuff

could you answer me this one question?, (i trust you will see this message) ~ .
on beyondjehovahswitnesses.com, did you pose as "snoozy", write a few posts to which you signed her name and have to apologize to tim?.
i just wondered what sort of person you really are.. you may not choose to answer this question, (for obvious reasons).. by the way, you are not a bad writer, a tad "flowery" in my opinion and you're not exactly nietzshce, but it obviously keeps you busy.
Granny - you go girl!
