  this is a continuation of the discussion which sprang from an unrelated topic.. so according to genesis, who told the first lie?

  god told eve that if she ate from the tree of knowledge she would die that very same day.

  in response to that statement the devil told her she would not die.. eve ate from the tree and did not die.

  they quote some catholic sources, yadda, yadda, yadda.

  it is a great misdirection.

  i like that it's about family too

  in jesus' prodigal son illustration

  he welcomed back the son before the son had time to "show repentance"

  even though 10 of jacob's sons were liars, kidnappers, and violent

  they didn't apologize until after finally faced with joseph years later

  but they still received an inheritance from their dad and joseph made provisions for them

  god has made provisions for us way before we knew about it

  way before we were sorry

  way before

  and even though it takes time

  the family will be reunited

  he doesn't make it complicated like the religions do

  he makes it simple

  we just have to talk to him

  we have lonely old folks and even some not so old.. they know the gb are not who they claim to be.. but they stay in the congregation because they are lonely.

  i wonder what percentage of jws this is the case, i would guess a lot.

  attended the friday sesson of the 2024 summer convention.. july 5, 2024 summer convention crowd photo; they invited quite a lot of empty chairs.. .

  the facility usually has 5500-6500. they spun it saying that fewer congregations were assigned.

  there were 6 of the smaller, more distant sections blocked off with tarps to lessen cleaning, which i understand.
