Wow, what a good approach to tell your wife your feelings and still keep the marriage together.

It seems that she didn't drop into the jw " I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT" mode. Which tells me that she is more rational than many jw's.

If only my leaving the cult had been this well done.

Reading about your love for each other and sensing your wifes love for you, brought tears to my eyes as I recall my angry divorce and my wife going to the elders and their hate.

oh.... how the saga goes on!!

i swear we could write a novel about our life exiting the watchtower!!

ok..many of you read what happened..our house was egged and so was my sisters car that was parked here, and "frosty" was attacked!!

For the first time, I can say that I AGREE WITH OROBORUS. He has laid out the four possible routes to take and their risks and the actions to take to start them.

I really doubt that this could be taken past the Misdemeanor and to the Felony stage.

Any Auto Mechanics here?

my nissan sentra (2000) failed the smog test.

the "check engine" light has been on for a few months now.. i just had it checked out this morning and i was told i need to replace the air flow meter sensor.. the estimate was $400 for a rebuilt-part and $600 for a brand new one.. does this sound right?

can somebody explain to me what this part's function is?.

There is a chemical that comes in a spray can that is designed to clean the mass air flow sensor.

I have seen it in the auto parts stores but I have never used it so I can't make a claim as to how it works.

I think it was around $6.00.

I would avoid buying used parts for this problem and would buy the sensor if the chemical did not work.

It isn't too hard to gain access to it and some mechanically minded guy could do it.

I guess I didn't make myself clear.

I have looked at and read many many nde experiences and put some faith in them.

What bothered me was the use of a mechanical watch as a way of describing the human body and all it has.

I don't fear death " at least not yet" I really fear and grieve the Loss of a loved one. My wife made up one half of my life and happiness only to lose her at 64 yrs. of her life. We ought to have at least lived out another 10 yrs.

The only thing I see in both a watch and humans, is that we both wear out and stop functioning, and I see nothing there to praise the jw's god.

I sometimes wish I could see death your way 4 truth.

My wife died a few months ago. Here in our home being watched over by Hospice and my self. I took care of her when Hospice wasn't here and when she died, I saw her body shutting down much like my computer does when I turn it off.

Step by step different organs faded away. Then the conclusion was much like the shutdown of my computer's last breaths. The screen slowly fades away.

Her last few breaths and then she was gone.

Sort of like a watch designed to have a designated life expectancy, which insures that the watch will need replacing so the manufacturer can sell another one.

I really don't enjoy the religious nonsense using watches as a way to convince us to believe the various religious groups and their teachings.

I just turned 71 last November and lost my wife in last July, so things are kind of quiet and not too active right here in the here and now.

I am the youngest in my family and my siblings died in their late80's and early 90"s, so I think I have a time left.

I plan to make the most of it and enjoy it all. I may find a new mate, there is one lady that wants to get to know me.

But what ever happens I will concentrate on some travel, some boating, some fishing, some camping, and work on my automobiles in the garage and some two way radio work.

I still lift weights, do pushups and walking or using the tread mill and other exercises I have done all my life. Started all this when I was a deputy sheriff. It seems to work.

So far the MD says my body is very well for my age.

So I guess I will see.

You said you were never too good at keeping your mouth shut.

That is not going to serv you well in a court of law.

Knowing what not to say at the right time is vital.

Also if too much is said in a poor way, to get your thoughts believeable

by the judge, it ends up as food for the prosecutor.

Which is what I see here.

just wondering if anyone else feels the same way.. i've been out of the organization for about 4 years, but i still love jehovah and jesus, and i want to serve them the right way.

does anyone here feel a great sense of religious confusion now that you are not attending meetings?.

at the moment, i feel miserable, since i'm going through a divorce.

Agent 7 What the hell ever that is supposed to mean . Is the kind of person we should not put any trust in.

Anyone who labels groups of people he has never met or known, as Fornicators and Adulterers and using this as a way to scare you away, tells me this.

That since he is promoting a group filled with "pedophiles" AND fornicators and adulterers as a group that will help heal you "as they are hurting you" is best ignored and laughed at.
