I was out for four years and htinking of going back when I decided to do some research. Initially I wanted to find information on getting reinstated and the steps involved. The more I read on this forum the more I realized that the WTBTS is a sham and I am not obligated to feel guilt or shame over how I live my life. I lost the need to go back to the JWs because of this site. Thank you everyone for posting and helping me to truly break free.

I would have gone out with a bang - maybe a goodbye talk at the TMS or as part of a mag demo.

JW Interracial Couples
by Iamallcool ini was thinking about some interracial jw couples that chose each other because they do not have alot of choices like finding someone in their own race in the religion, i have been seeing alot more jw interracial couples lately.
have you noticed them in your area?
don't get me wrong.

I kne a few white men who wouldn't marry black women they loved very much because they were afraid that race would be used against them in the "Great Tribulation". That was in the mid 90's. Too bad they let the fear of the GB decide who they would marry.

I felt left out, lonely and depressed when I was a JW. Now I look forward to spending the holidays with family, cooking meals and buying them gifts.

Info on publisher cards???
by OneDayillBeFree inso i moved to another hall to better help me fade.
so far it's been great although it is a very long and annoying process!
so i'm very good friends with the coordinating elder in the new hall since we've known each other for years and so instead of mailing them to the other hall he decided to pass them on to my dad so he could give them to me and for me to give them to the other hall.

Redact them and post them. I've never seen on and would like to know what kind of info is put on those cards.

Quick question, did you feel lonely at the meetings even though you were part of the action?
by Theocratic Sedition injust curious, something i've noticed only lately.
i'm in the mix within the congregation, stay late after the meeting is over, converse with quite a few people afterwards, make plans for saturday and sometimes sunday service and yet i feel so awfully alone walking to my car afterwards.
i feel lonely when i'm talking and laughing with people after the meeting.

I wasn't in any cliques nor did I have any family in besides my mother so yes, I felt lonely quite often. Then I'd feel used when the JWs would talk to me and ask for stuff.

I wouldn't care. Thos "JW friends" turned their backs on me and my mother who never did anything wrong. I wouldn't want to welcome people like that back into my life.
