  Sudden General Election in UK to be held June 8th 2017

  theresa may the british p.m. has called for an election.. the house of commons has to vote tomorrow and have a two-thirds majority to agree and the main opposition parties want it to happen too so it looks pretty certain to go ahead..

  June 2017 program - beards/mixed messages

  nothing big here, just a couple small observations:.

  on this month's program at about the 43 minute mark, after bragging about giving a little medical help to jws in africa, they make them 'pay' for their services by offering onscreen testimonials thanking the organization.

  one of them is an elderly man who i think got hearing aids or something (i forget) and said that now he can hear the meetings better.

  Jesus is often only mentioned as a side point....such as the ransom etc. It's remarkable how little they talk about the foretold Messiah, the king of kings.

  The literature constantly refers to the inaccurate name of God (Jehovah); the FDS or the organisation (aka WTB&TS).

  Same here. Only attend meetings occasionally for PURELY social reasons to avoid the stress 🙄

  there were many addressed to me.

  for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.

  i then fired back a her: "you saw the r-rated movie 'backdraft.

  I was told by my study conductor when studying as a young man that having a beard is equivalent to a man having long hair; and the bible condemns men for having long hair?????

  It just goes to show what a controlling environment the kingdom hall is.

  if jehovahs witnesses are using the wrong name of god "jehovah" how would that affect your worship ?.

  2. if yahweh is the more correct name of god of the bible how does that affect your worship ?.

  3.jehovahs witnesses put great emphasis on gods name ,sanctifying it treating it as "holy" and that jehovahs witnesses are to make it known in all the earth .

  There was a reason why Jesus told us to call YHWH 'our father' when he taught people how to pray. It is so much more intimate, respectful and loving.

  What do most of us call our own father. Do we call him by his actual name or refer to him as dad. What is more appropriate and fitting.

  YHWHs name is possibly Yahweh, yehovah, yehowa and so forth. But calling on God by referring to him 'Father' when approaching him in prayer is appropriate and fitting.

  i pretty much did it all.

  vacation pioneered as a youngster and became a regular pioneer out of school.

  i became a ms then an elder.....the organization pushes you to be somebody within the confines of their realm.

  15 years ms.....gulp. tried to push me toward being an elder. Was wise enough to avoid. Came off as an ms as couldn't face it anymore knowing TTATT
