Are Beards becoming more acceptable due to decline in membership?
by UnshackleTheChains ini noticed a young brother with a beard being given more privelages within our hall.
when he first grew his beard, he lost his privelages.
but more and more recently he has been helping out a lot more.. the cobe is old school and a stickler for rules, but with the hall becoming more empty these days, and the need for young brothers, he seems to have relaxed on this particular watchtower/man made rule.

I think there's something else to consider, maybe the brothers growing beards just don't give a sh*t any more about striving/competing/groaning after privileges. Here the elders (who are all really old) have been having a hard time getting brothers to care enough about competing for privileges. A bit of a shift, methinks, from the old days.
Once you don't care about privileges, they have much less control over you. And if you're a brother, you grow a beard! If they still want to give you a privilege, you keep the beard, and read that Watchtower
Wow....that's me in a nutshell 😋

Have you observed this relaxed attitude toward the beardites in your hall (if you are still attending)?

A WTF Moment While In the WTS
by Searching inhas anyone else had a moment, while still within the organization (and before learning ttatt) that caused them to stop and go, "this is kind of messed up.".
for instance, back i believe in the early 2000's, i was attending a dc with my family.
it was announced at the beginning of the convention that there was going to be a special announcement at the end, so for everyone to please try to remain until the very end of the meeting.

I remember attending a one day assembly about 10 years ago and Steven Lett was (I believe...in the UK on a branch visit). Everyone was excited to watch and listen to A GOVERNING BODY member bless us with his presence on the big screen.
What did we get. Was it going to be something big, something extraordinary. No we got a MrTweedy lookalike banging on about some little girl who was loyal to Jehovah for not celebrating her friends birthday party whome she had been invited. Yes she stood up to all those other bad little boys and girls who did celebrate such a terrible thing. Yes the anniversary of the day her friend was born. Shock horror. That was definitely my wtf moment.
You wait in anticipation for every word that comes out if these guys mouths and you get some non biblical, non essential nothingness. 🙄

Wow. This is dynamite.
I would love to get into Watchtower leadership's psychological mindset to try and understand why they are sticking rigidly to their guns. Why don't they simply comply with the law ( the authorities placed in their relative positions by God).

Is All The Bad Publicity About The Watchtower Pedophile Lawsuits Causing Contributions To Nose Dive Worldwide?
by Brokeback Watchtower ini think with all the child molestation lawsuits the watchtower corporation is and has been hit with is the main reason for all the prime property sell off recently.
the silent lambs protest back in 2001, and the dateline prime time expose probably was the death knell for the watchtower's hey day in brooklyn.. their membership is drying up, young people are leaving in droves, the situation is no doubt far worse than the annually published yearbook figures show and so they ceased it's publication permanently.
and those left remaining are experiencing a huge grab of money from their congregations accounts and now are required to make pledges about how much they can contribute which i think is a last ditch effort by the governing body to squeeze more money out of the rank and file watchtower indoctrinated drones.. i think all this is happening because even those still loyally attending are hearing reports of these tremendous pay out that the watchtower is making to the victims of their self serving policies that put young ones at great risks so that even the rank and file don't want to contribute to pay court costs and so are withholding giving contributions to a very great extent.

Huge scriptures destroying their two witness doctrine and possibly all others!
by Crazyguy inin the latest broadcast the evil cult leader mention scriptures in the book of deuteronomy saying it takes two witnesses to convict someone.
then they go on and mention jesus steamily stating the same thing in mathew chapter 18. but the scriptures they fail to mention are verses 18-20 .
the jist of this part of the chapter is if a brother has an issue with another brother go talk to him about your complaint.

Totally agree crazy guy.
If each congregation was allowed autonomy and the elders allowed to follow the spirit of the scriptures instead of a man made policy, then justice on the whole would be served.
But hey, loyalty to Jehovah (aka the WT Organisation) comes first.

'If you reason something out; you will be influenced to make the proper decision'
by UnshackleTheChains intake a look at watchtowers reasoning in the first video from 46 minutes to 56 minutes regarding the 2 witness rule.
the scripture the watchtower representative refers to is perfectly fine in relation to situations within context.. but how can the 2 witness rule be applied to a sexual assault or child abuse allegation when only the victim and the perpetrator were present when the crime took place?
how can the 2 witness rule be applied if the perpetrator denies the allegation?..

Thankyou for bringing our attention to this particular Watchtower. The above paragraph even makes a lot of sense.
Now it certainly begs the question. Why didn't Brother Breaux remind his audience of this information?
The November broadcast is a classic example of - Information control!
The point where the paragraph says...... they may have experience in the field at issue and be able to establish whether what occurred was truly wrong...made me chuckle.
When it comes to serious crime, you REALLY need individuals with experience in the field. You won't find that at a JC.
