Jehovah's people are the happiest people on earth!
by Coded Logic inso this afternoon my roommate and i decided to go grab some dinner from the local chipotle and, as we live only a short distance from the franchise, we decided it was a good idea to walk.
little did i know that the j-dubs district convention here in sacramento was just getting out (the auditorium is literally smack in the middle of downtown and its attendees have to park in garages scattered a couple blocks away in every direction) so men in cheap suits and women in unflattering dress' were walking all over the place as though someone had antagonized their ungodly ant hill.
and, for sacramento, this of course is the complete opposite of the normative - that is to say, our streets are usually filled with well dressed, immaculately groomed, 'i know exactly where i'm going' government officials that monopolize the state capitol m-f. .

Steve Pavlina has very good points.
So does this web site: http://www.rantlifestyle.com/2014/08/13/21-reasons-why-religion-is-wrong/
As far as Steve Pavlina, I would enjoy meeting him, he has quite a story. He boasts of $40 K a month passive income from his internet sites advertisements.

Even if a report is true, it does not necessarily mean that it should be spread. There maybe times when it would be neither right nor loving to distribute true accounts to others. (Matt.7:12) For example, it is neither loving nor up-building to spread gossip, even though the information may be true. (2 Thess. 3:11; 1 Tim. 5:13)
Classic Jehovah's Witnesses Mentality for damage control. Blame the messenger! for accurate truthful information, you are a "busy body". LOL

royal commission examines jehovah witnesses cover-up.
newsaug 1, 2015. martin mckenzie-murray the jehovahs witnesses fiercely literal reading of the bible has distanced them from the law and politics, but the royal commission into child sexual abuse is ending that..

Applause.......MARTIN MCKENZIE-MURRAY, Applause........Applause........Applause.
Just Wow!!!! What a concise pointed and revealing article into Jehovah's Witnesses mentally deficient ways . Mr. Mckenzie-Murray had me running to the dictionary for several definitions of words, mostly because of his wonderful Britishness. But his use of "Gormless",....Wonderful. Solipsistic, fealty, and mendacious were other great words used.
men·da·ciousmenˈdāSHəs/adjective- If I believed in Holy Spirit any more, Holy Spirit must have used him to expose these errors in the WatchTower Bible and Tract Society's policies. Oh, no, excuse me, "not telling the truth; lying."mendacious propaganda"
synonyms: lying, untruthful, dishonest, deceitful, false, dissembling, insincere, disingenuous, hypocritical, fraudulent, double-dealing, two-faced, Janus-faced, two-timing, duplicitous, perjured; More "But it was the worldly people that came to BCG’s aid: “I was initially scared of the police because I had grown up being taught that everyone outside of the Jehovah’s Witness Church was to be feared."
"But we have seen them. Their piety is now an awful joke; their legacies ash. At least the victims’ stories are being contemplated by a commission showing a grace their religious families never did. The estrangement of the Jehovah’s Witnesses has encouraged abuse and compounded trauma. Elders encourage their flock to shun “worldly people” because the secular are agents of the Beast. We have seen similar situations emerge in these commissions – cultures turned mouldy by self-perpetuating secrecy."
THANK YOU BARBARA!

Do you remember the 15 minute break at the Sun. meeting?
by 3rdgen ina poster on another thread reminded me of when there was a 15 min.
break between the talk and the wt study on sundays.
the break was supposed to be to allow jw's time to drive their bible studys home from the talk.
-
JakeM2012
Yes, I do. The public talk was always in the afternoon around 3:00 because having it in the morning would be like Christendom. When congregations started having Sunday meetings in the morning, some of the other congregations thought it was very radical. We used to walk down to the corner mart and get a coke with a member of the anointed.
The Watchtower Study was considered "only" for real witnesses, not bible students. That's why it was kept separate. Yes,, some would smoke during the break. LOL

Pioneer school in 1000 words
by oppostate inthis strange photo is from a pioneer school graduating class in russia.. they're hiding their faces because, supposedly they don't want to be identified as jw's and run the risk of persecution.. the picture is very telling.
this very well illustrates how the pioneer school aims to make everyone into faceless drones whose minds are copies of wt indoctrinated automatons and not really individuals.. another thing i noticed when looking at the photo is that some aren't following the instructions to obscure their faces--some peek their eyes above the illuminators textbook and one is quite clearly exposing his profile as if he was talking to his neighbor in mid-shutter instant.. third, it's in russia, and the jw's aren't too welcome there.
communist oligarchs were quite acquainted with indoctrination and brain-washing techniques, they didn't like competition.

Sir Elder Newton, you do realize that the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society does not pay retirement to anyone?
