Drugs and Alcohol Ruin Your Life

this point was raised in another thread vaguely, and wanted to try and expand on it.. the wt has said (and rightly so in my opinion) "that excessive use of drugs and alcohol can ruin your life".

in my eyes this is a fact.. this is where it starts to get a little suspicious, as they also say (or subtly hint at) "that if you leave the wt you will becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol and will ruin your life".. its almost like a self fulfilling prophecy.

as there are a lot who leave the borg and they do start drinking heavy or smoking, or taking drugs...or whatever.. the wt capitalizes on the fact that people want more freedom, and they subtly ingrain the thought that.

Unfortunately, I drank more when I was in the organization and in good standing, either as a bethelite or as an elder than I currently imbibe.

I see what you are saying, and the question is: Did the WTBTS atmosphere in the congregation and their teachings, negatively affect these peoples lives, which then started them to fall apart?

Assembly Assessment increased 300%

while at the assembly, when reading the financial statement, i noticed our expenses went from $2500 to almost $9500 so i questioned an elder and said that the assessment per publisher is at $10.50 for all in the us branch territory.. he added this helps the society know how much is coming in and helps them plan out future projects!.

I hope they continue to increase their tax at the assemblies, maybe they would price themselves out of a job. Meaning, do you think that this would awaken some people?

Nice work!

JW's didn't turn out looking so well on this one. The lawyer for Watchtower saying in court that they took care of them spiritually and nothing more could be expected was priceless. They think that they can all speak softly and that equates to being "spiritual" and reasonable,.... well, all except Kendrick and his hussy wife.

I'm putting it together why Watchtower Bible and Tract Society want to move their headquarters out of New York City and hide in the country.

Watchtower having to eat this is great. They could have put a stop to all of this years ago by changing their internal judicial system policies but have arrogantly done nothing. They could have 1) told the victims family they needed to report the crime, 2) The congregation elders could have been instructed by the WT legal department to report the crime to police and let them handle it, instead of pulling the "confidentiality card" 3) If they want to do their own internal JW investigation then do that. They act like their spiritual "discipline", their little public reproof/disfellowshipping is more important than jail time for child molesters.

I hope the floodgates continue to be opened on the WTBTS and drown them.

andrea montgomery was found guilty as charged on each of the 6 charges of child rape of her biological son, alan von webb, the oldest boy of four children.

today, many media people were there in the courtroom for the first time since the trial started.. the verdict came in about 3:30 p.m. which took time for the judge to read, etc., so i learned about it at 4 p.m. when the father of the four children, now young adults, called us.

one of the children has down's syndrome, and it's difficult to imagine, but he also was raped since a child by his mother.

"Happy" Bethelite song update

i spoke to a very reliable source at bethel and got an update on the happy song that they did.

apparently it was for family night, which is kind of like a talent show they do once a year at bethel.

DepressedSoul, the reasoning that WTBTS has on OSHA requirements is that they do not have to comply with the regulations because the work is being done with volunteer labor and they are a non-profit organization. I asked about how they could get away with the unsafe conditions they exposed us too while working at Patterson years ago, and that is what I was told.

However, they had several meetings "encouraging" the workers to think of their own safety. Duh, you don't want to comply, but you are having accidents? Really. What did you expect? The bottom line for "working safe" was that WTBTS was having to pay medical bills for the immediate emergency care, right before they told the volunteer workers that they needed to go home and take care of themselves.

Evidently, WTBTS loves the benefits of free volunteer labor, but they don't like the responsibility. Volunteers Work at their own risk, and oh,... if you are hurt, we will pay for the stitches, and then send you home. If you lost a finger, eye, or other permanent disability, don't expect any money, because, we don't pay into workers compensation insurance, because we are a non-profit organization that has only volunteer labor. Humm, .....

a statement by the watchtower society released this week, is highlighting the achievement of two major awards for sustainable development actions.. the green building initiative (gbi) has awarded certificates for two new buildings at the united states branch facilities.

the awards are achievements for the watchtower farms f residence, completed in late 2012, and the watchtower wallkill office building, completed in 2014.. ....................these awards may indicate that sustainable management techniques are being applied to ensure the cost effectiveness of the buildings.

Why is the WTBTS even concerned about a LEED certification? WTH? Did they have to apply for it?. What hypocrisy. They don't care about anything the governments or even judges tell them to do and here they are seeking a LEED certification, an honor given by imperfect men?

WTBTS is quick to condemn someones motive for seeking "higher education" saying they are just too proud, that they are seeking prominence in the world, while you should be seeking Jehovah's approval.

The average publisher hours required for one baptism is over 6000?, and I don't think it is taking that many hours of people looking into the "Truth" to wake up. LOL
