  have the rank and file been told not to "gossip", or "question" about mr morris yet?

  i am mindful of how questioning decisions was discouraged and being told to keep things confidential.

  ( maybe too soon, but do share if a special needs part comes up) you would think that common sense would tell them they cause the questions when they don't share reasons.

  JWs and Prepping

  the jws i know (which admittedly are more liberal than most) are suddenly into prepping to one degree or another.

  some have simply assembled "go bags" with basic common sense supplies in case they need to bug out in the event of a natural disaster and others seem to be seriously into it, almost to the degree to which mormons are.

  years ago I put together the suggested go bag...a couple changes of clothes, comfortable shoes...a couple years went by and I opened the go bag...the shoes were molded and the clothes no longer fit. I don't have such a bag now. But I do have to wonder, in case of emergency, I have nowhere to go anyway. I have watched videos of people leaving Florida when horrible storms were predicted and then to get stuck in traffic for endless hours. I watched those leaving California with the sides of the road burning. How horrid! My sister use to talk of having a stock pile of food etc...I keep the cupboards stocked here, but could last a few weeks...if things get bad enough , you will be killed for your survivalist stockpiles. I remember watching some videos after hurricane Katrina...people in fema camps and prison boats...wonder what ever happened to those people? (the ones in the camps were treated like prisoners.) Some volunteers went to help out only to tell of the unnecessary killing of some of the people effected by the storm. If something really bad happens around here, the angels will have to lead me out like they did Lot!

Here is one of those who you were to obey no matter what and now you aren't to obey him...stinks to the high heavens.

  I was thinking about the scripture about widows with good reputation being "put on the LIST"...does this not suggest that the early congregations had a system in place to help needy widows?

  i have these friends, kind of more friends of friends.

  i believe their 14 year son is going to get baptized this summer.

  he also seems to be quite involved in sports and is a really good athlete.

  figure out a way to enlighten the boy....like you are really good at sports...enjoy as much of it now as you can, because once you are baptized, you will be kept busy with theocratic activities ( you do know extracurricular activities are frowned upon by the brothers and once you are baptized -because you will need to use your spare time in field service...you don't want called into the back room..( do that spiel like it is a good thing !)

  OR WT 11:11 the form on worship that is clean and undeiled from the standpoint of our GB, it this: send out a memo to the elders so they can instruct the needy where to go for help, and to listen to obey the CDC,WHO,FDA.

  Then Jehovah helps many people, not just JWs....at a local clinic, they have a questionnaire about not only your health, what your living conditions are...are you in a safe enviroment...do you have a place to live...I asked about this questionnaire, and depending upon what you are put on that paper, they will give out information for not only health care, but housing, ebt, abuse shelters, fuel assistance, food banks, etc.

  it's not in their publication, only on the website under the topic of "what is the governing body?

  I find it interesting the pic shows 7, but the article names 9... I would be curious to know when that question was first asked. By having the pic as it is, they can change out people, and just add or substract names in the article...I think someone else will be leaving soon.

  let me explain if i can ,i didn`t become a jw until my very late teens 19 and more likely close to 20. .

  in spite of drama, trauma, abuse,cheating, slander, ( all related to witnesses ) I can't say it has been a bad life. I would say fair to middling...In spite of whatever happened, I felt like I had a safety net ( also related to witnesses ) The JW does add some structure and not all bad. I can't say life would have been better without the JW, but different. I have been homeless, but not without food, clothing, and shelter. That is a good thing. I wish I had woke up at least 25 years ago and I should have considering how awful I was being treated...I would have made better choices for my life. In a couple of weeks I will be 68...you who are younger, just be glad you woke us sooner. ( I want to write a book someday--but as long as I am able to and have work I must work- if I were to start the book, I wouldn't get anything else done until I finished it. ( at least I am not throwing hard earned money to the cult now! ) I feel blessed to have a house of peace. ( the thing that I feel may be missing now is a safety net of people, but then I do believe that God exists and that he cares, that he has provided and will continue to. Here is one big impact that happened (for good?) because of the witnesses. When I was a teenager I went to work at a small business owned by a witness, learned the trade and have supported myself every since by starting my own business and developing more skills -this is a small business that beats minimum wage but not welfare! but I can work at my own pace, whereas, I don't consider my health able to withstand a job where I had to sit or stand for long periods of time. This would not have happened had not been a witness.( I will add that the worldly people I have met in my business have been some of the nicest people I have ever met)

  Magnum, I agree that what happens/ed to TM means something to us. It causes a lot of questions and speculations...if by apostates, you know those on the inside also want to know. If they start questioning, they too may wake up. Maybe some in your families will wake up. Maybe some of my old friends will wake up...I would hope so!
