"a picture says a thousand words" ---I never did like the blue Org sign on KH signs and buildings. And I never liked the badge ( buttons) people wore...reminded me of people in Christendom wearing crosses....you shouldn't need a badge or piece of jewelry to let people know you are a Christian... back to your bottom pic....that is as disgusting as the top one.

I bet a lot won't be answering the doors. Likely during lockdown and just being afraid to go out in general, they entertained themselves online and saw news articles on child abuse, maybe stumbled into some ex JW sites...in other words, they are more educated than ever against JWs. The JWs have brought reproach!

bsmart-I knew it was about cars--but...I also knew a person who made what seemed like innocent jokes ( a wee bit suggestive ) who was just "telegraphing" what he was really about. Example: He would introduce his wife: this is (name), my first wife. He went on to shack up with other women and marry some of them.

Does anyone know why the quote function doesnt always work?

oftentimes if i try to quote someone so that it's highlighted in yellow, after i submit my comments, the quote remains but my comments are gone.

experiment because I don't know how to use the quotes....edit , I figured it out. I copied and pasted what I wanted and then followed the advice below. ( thanks)
I find the best way to use the quote function is after you complete your post. Then go to the quoted parts, highlight them and then click on the quote function. That way you will not lose anything."

I scan read a few pages and one thing that could get you disfellowshipped was joining an organization that didn't hold to JW standards...but it was ok for them to join the UN?? I saw a post somewhere while they are no longer members of the UN, they have a membership in another group of nations( maybe not explaining that correctly.)
