If one sees 'mistakes and misunderstandings', they have to put up and shut up or they will be kicked out, so if you try to "comfort" someone with what the Bible says verses WT, you are speaking against god's organization. Just becaus men create something and put God's name on it doesn't mean it is God's organization ( there was a festival to Jehovah because the golden calf was their god that led them out of Eqypt.

Over the years, the WT has published various articles on the pagan origins of many traditions and therefore advice not to practice them because of where their origins were rooted. If one used that same standard where the WT is concerned, they would run as pyramidology played a major part in the teachings at the origin ( pretty pagan if you ask me.)

thesis: when someone who is given a responsibility mistakes that responsibility for authority, bullying is very likely to occur.. jesus spoke an illustration recorded at matthew 24: 45-51 which well illustrates this thesis.. jesus asked, “who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over all his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?

happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.

truly i say to you, he will appoint him over all his belongings.

parallel account in LUke 12:42-48 shows different slave descriptions: 42....faithful steward.....45 that slave...beat the male and female servants.....47 ...that slave who understood the will of his master, but did not...do what was asked...48 but the one who did not understand....( I see 4 slave descriptions )

When JW speak of the faithful and discreet slave, they just cherry pick what they want from Matt 24:45

this is interesting : matt 26:28 for this means my 'blood of the covenant,' which is to be poured out in behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.according to wt, the christian greek scriptures were ( see copy ) wt 74 6/15 serve with eternity in view : also, it is to the spirit-anointed christians who will rule in that kingdom that most of the christian greek scriptures is directed, including the promises of everlasting life ( pasted from wt 74 6/15).

so matt 26:28 is at the lord's evening meal where the new covenant is being initiated.

So Matt 26:28 is at the Lord's evening meal where the new covenant is being initiated. Note the blood being poured out for the forgiveness of sins. If you go by what is quote from WT74 and what JW teach, only the 144000 anointed would be forgiven-because they are the only ones in that covenant, and the Christian Greek Scriptures are mostly directed to them...are you following this?
Also of interest is none of the apostles were anointed by holy spirit in that upper room until Penecost , which was after this covenant was made. ( so those who were not "anointed" were partaking with Jesus, and yet JW instruct only the anointed can partake.

God of Ancient Egypt Statue: Horus - AH262220 - Design Toscano I watched a video showing this site. The presenter brought out how those 2 area below the under eye semi circle ( looks like sections with trees to me ) are sort of like the "side locks" for want of a better word on the images of the Egyption Sun god Horus. And some of you may know ( I think it was The Finished Mystery ) another image representing Horus was on the cover of that book...Makes ya wonder......

I didn't go back and read the lot of this, BUT the "conspiracy" videos are quite compelling that the whole thing was an INSIDE job. If you watch the towers collasping, it does seem more like controled demolition rather than the damage a plane would do. (it fell within it's footprint so to speak )

From where I was sitting, I was already sharing in her sins. Was I not donating money that was helping to pay off lawsuits so they could continue hiding the molesters? I was; and I determined they won't get another dime with my name attached to it-( the congregations pay out x amount per member there each month, so whether you donate or not, money is sent based upon you staying a member-for want of a better way of putting it.) If you are on a sinking ship, at what point do you decide to get on a lifeboat? Most JW seem to think the Org is unsinkable...the buildings will survive Armageddon-along with their videos--I never did believe that nonsense.

"an elder with an agenda simply makes a phone call to the new hall. I knew of a couple who moved to a different hall, but they were "hounded" there. I also know of ones not moving, but the elder/s with an agenda got brothers from other halls to try to entrap those with whom there was an agenda.

Replacing God?

i'm speaking from the uk.. with the lack of belief in god/s, i'm wondering if all the seeming (note: i said seeming!

), deification of people like greta thunberg, george floyd and celebs amongst others, if people who have no real belief system, are filling the gap left by god with people?.

and that seems like a great injustice to deprive innocent enoch of life instead of killing the wicked.

I have considered the dieing on the operating table wouldn't be the worst thing. You go in with whatever ails you and are likely hopeful that it works out; but if it doesn't you, like Job do your compulsory service until you are remembered.
