Listener- you brought up winning the competition which brought to mind another aspect that occurred to me when learning of the win: Gal 5:26 Let us not become egotistical, stirring up competition with one another, envying one another. How is entering the competition not in conflict with the scriptures they claim to obey ( not to mention the pioneer hierarchy ) If the designers ( who I take it ) were not JW, why did the JW make claim to the win? From where I sit the design firm should have gotten the money.

by ExBethelitenowPIMA inthe situation is many of us are pima and all putting on a front, sometimes saying something we don’t fully believe.
or at least are actually agnostic about but a hope that it’s true.. but it can be useful if someone is really going through a hard time or has something they are very worried about, to say things like well let’s hope there is not much longer of this old system.. this can be useful in an awkward situation where you just don’t know what to do or say.
it’s a little bit of hope that can help when there is nothing else.. my agnosticism just means i won’t look back over decades thinking i wasted my life.

if no one will be allowed to do evil deeds, how is it when Satan is released from the abyss, that he will mislead so many as sands of the seas? And the time frame isn't given....So if some are wicked and get destroyed "as a boy" ( by age comparison ) and others become perfect in the thousand years, only to do this all over again...( one would hope that if you survived Armageddon, you would have a one up on the time when Satan is released. ( it seems a fairy tale, but we are here and we came to be somehow and that seems a fairy tale, but I don't believe we are here by some cosmic accident.)

The bikes part reminded me of the new city plans the elite want to build wherein everything you need is within 20 minutes of travel time. Then there is all this carbon reducing /green verbiage, electric cars, electric appliances ( no gas stoves and dryers)--sounds like info coming from the world economic forum. Who do you think they are trying to please, Almighty God or the so called elite of mankind?

by Simon inunless you've been hibernating under a rock for the last couple of years, you're probably aware that ai is the new hotness.. chatgpt gets a lot of attention but equally amazing is how capable ai is at generating art.
if you'd been ask to name anything that would be the last holdout for humans, creative arts such as writing, painting, and music would probably be some of the things at the top of the list.. yet those seem to be the things that ai can do best.. it's fascinating to use the tools, but one thing you realize is that they are just combining patterns and shapes, there isn't yet any real "intelligence", artificial or otherwise.. as an example, you can ask it to create a painting in the style or a particular artist, with a whole raft of things you want to include.
it will do a great job on first glance, but can often give people more arms or fingers than is normal, and lamp-posts can grow to different heights, like trees.
