Hi,
I am not sure that it is appropriate to ask this on here but I don't know where else I would.
Bit of background: a couple of years ago I was reproved after I slept with a brother that I was in love with but we were not married. In fairness, the elders were kind and supportive. The problem is, I had always been the model witness before that. I felt dirty and disgusting, I went into a deep depression and ended up trying to end my life by overdose.
I have always known how close I came to succeeding, I was on life support for 3 days and my family were told to prepare for the worst.
My question, if there are any paramedics/A&E workers on here, is why my clothes were cut off me? Just the top half, coat, jumper, bra. I know I was airlifted to the hospital and that I was unconscious. I am wondering if it was because I had stopped breathing and needed CPR or if there is another explanation? I know it doesn't really matter but it is a strange feeling not knowing what happened.
I was kept in a mental health unit for a couple of months after and I am still on medication.
I'm sorry if this post is not appropriate.

Were / Are the Governing Body "Rock Stars"
by Number 6 inin 1976 when i was a young lad of 6, fred franz came to glasgow and gave a talk in govan a suburb on the south side of the city (for those of you who dont know).
our congregation hired a bus to ferry us all to the hall and it was standing room only.
being only 6, i have only the vaguest of memories other than an old man shouting and bawling from the stage.

Just to demonstrate my naivety ...
Back in the '80s when I was still in my teens and newly baptised, I had a bible study with a lady that refused to buy a "Live forever" book. Her reason was that she was interested in the bible but not in lining Franz's pockets.
I assured her that the president was just a humble servant of Jehovah like the rest of us, That he had modest accommodation and a basic living allowance, same as all full time Bethelites did! I genuinely believed that.
When I discovered this rockstar mentality and the behaviour and lifestyle to match, it was the beginning of the end for me. Jesus is described as "having nowhere to lie his head" and we read how he washed the feet of the disciples to teach them humility.
I find it obscene.
