Do the WBTS feel guilty about the Bryants Death?
by Jim Dee inthe tragedy in oregon could be concieved by some as "pushing a man beyond all human limits" and therefore the "pusher" (ie the wtbs) is guilty.. clearly mr bryant was not in a stable state of mind - so what caused the inbalance?
clearly the action of the society.
the wtbs would counter and say it was mr bryant that caused the problem by his "black heart and rebel attitude".. so who was responsible?

Firearms in USA
by Haereticus inhow common it is in usa that a jw has a legal firearms?
i have no recollection of wtbs publications handling this matter specifically.
of course general attitude towards firearms in usa is different from europe but so is also legislation.. it is just that once being a concsientious objector i cannot, even after almost 40 years, imagine myself having one.

"In other words, I would assume that someone coming into my home for no good purpose is threatening to kill me, or is prepared to, and I would respond according to that assumption.
Does this make sense? Any other views out there?"You got it. WTS official policy is grab anything convenient such as a broom or mop to disable the attacker. Total BS. Attacker will kill you first, then terrorize your loved ones. Handy legal firearm only answer unless your a martial arts dude. WTS bends over backwards to be "politically correct." Cultural Marxism. The early 80's call to disarm Dubs of handguns was because of some revolt in the South Pacific (or over there somewhere in Melanesia) and WTS did not want local authorities to think its subjects went around armed. So we ALL had to bite the bullet (heh heh).

About Dan Sydlik...
by Patriot ini was talking to one of my brother-in-laws about his time in bethel.
he put in about 5 years.. anyway, i mentioned the post about lyman calling the new black brother "nigger", and he also said that it did not surprise him.. but what i found even funnier was the experience he had with dan.
dan sydlik had been staying at the bossert hotel while his apartment was getting renovated.

He's a pretty spunky little dude. My wife and I talked to him after morning session at a DC in Reno in the early 80's. He was proud to talk about being Polish-American and shared experiences about his recent trip to Poland and how the work was progressing with that solidarinosz stuff. We appreciated his powerful voice on the tape where he was Pharaoh, and even more in person. Guys with deep powerful voices like that tend to lord it over others, whether they're Sydlik, a judge, district overseer (Bro. Baxter case in point), attorney, etc.

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/pages/futuretech.html."My NSA contact confirmed that the [US] government has succeeded in time travel, but also considers it a dangerous technology. Teleportation research conducted at the Lawrence Livermore/Sandia National Laboratories, CA has had some successful results, as well. Certain extraterrestrial races have been using portals of their own devising to visit earth. Now the U.S. government, ever avaricious to copy ET technology, has created a primitive but working model of its own. Dr. Wen Ho Lee, nuclear scientist in the headlines, worked on that holographic portal project, along with other scientists. You will recall that Dr. Lee was accused by the government of copying U.S. "nuclear secrets" onto a non-secure computer tape. In the previously-lax security environment of the professorial Los Alamos Labs, run by the University of California, and accustomed to informal exchange of information among research colleagues, such "lapses of security" have been epidemic. If every LANL scientist who took short-cuts around certain security measures were prosecuted, Los Alamos would be a ghost town."
I just saw a special on the History Channel tonight about the "Philadelphia Project" (bottom link on above www page). Science fiction and UFO's may not be imaginary or simply imaginative after all. Maybe someone will eventually be able to go back in time and convince C.T. Russell to just go ahead and get ever more successful in business to keep him from starting another stupid religious movement.

Their judicial meetings can truly seem to be, or even be, Kangaroo Courts. Seems any number over three is overkill, but they like to have the decided advantage of numbers when they feel especially threatened by some issue presented by a publisher. I had a drumming-out ceremony executed upon me some time ago, but just because I did not like or trust any of them. There were no charges of any kind brought against me. I think there were eight of them: the whole BOE, just because I was transferring to a Spanish congregation. That in itself showed a "bad attitude" and they had to "talk to me" about it. I just pretended I was Jesus before the Scribes and Pharisees, and they were powerless in their attempt to make me tremble before them. Too bad I stayed in the Borg another fourteen years and even became an elder myself. I wasted a lot of my life that way.

Suppose the King invited everyone to a big special meal in his honor and then did not let anyone eat from it except his two kitchen slaves. Afterwards as the invitees were leaving they commented on how wonderful was the meal they could not eat, and so they now could go to Luby's for dinner. Weird or what?
