  Thought on “0 hours” reporting

  so everyone knows the “big news” of this past weekend, no more reporting of hours, placements, return visits, etc.

  beginning november 1, jws just tick a box indicating whether they “shared in any form of the ministry during the month”.. so there was a brief comment by a redditor that seems like a brief joke “throwaway comment” but after thinking about it….why not?.

  the idea is, what is “any form of the ministry”?

  in a big city with over a million people the jws had 4 or 5 trolleys going and they all had magazines printed in either 2021 or 2020.

  why i think the watchtower is going for zero hours is so that they do not have to print as many magazines each time so saving money.because if you are going from door to door you are more likly to give out magazines or even single page tracts that they fold up (these days) but most people on the trolleys they just stand there by the trolley with nothing to hand. and if the numbers do go down in a country i dont think the corporation is really bothered esp if ut is in a western country where they can sell off the kingdom hall

  Real reasons behind this change?

  just a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.

  a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?

  maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

  if people are not doing as much outreach they will not use as many magazines or flyers so the borg will not have to pay out for new ones.a few weeks ago i got a magazine from a trolley that had been printed in 2019

  am i being mean, thinking that travelling overseers should get a part-time job like paul did, in order to not be a burden to the congregation?

  i wouldn't put my hand up when we were asked to raise it if we were happy to give £50 from congregation funds to the c.o.

  so that he could take his wife out for a meal.

  i dont because that is helping to kill off the watchtower faster.in 2012 the watchtower closed 20 branch offices around the world,in may 2015 stephen lett said they had got more money going out than coming in.They also sold all watchtower property in new york and moved out to warwick they also sold all the jw property in central london and moved to chelmsford.they used to have a printing shop in central london but they have closed that as well.So ALL the magazines for europe are printed in germany.They also have been closing many many kingdom halls all around the world

  did they need to employ people at bethels around the world to deal with all the the figures from the weekly reports if so they might be able to have less people at bethels around the world that need feeding
