Yeah saw very little JWs out door2door before covid. Compared to 20 years ago. Last 5 years they mostly been sitting around cards playing with their phones 😁 What i have actually seen visiting different countries are Mormons. Been approach by them several times being out and about. They are like JWs used to be in the 80s. I guess bible was right Proverbs 13:12

getting round the territory slowly compared to before?
by Indoubtbigtime infrom what i know most territory maps in most congregations are being done much much slower than before.
my congregation is very very slow getting round the territory compared to before.
then pioneers will have hour requirement coming back in march but they are just not used to getting 3hrs a day 7 days a week.. many congregations used to get round all their territory every so often, now all congregations around north london where i am (yes i’m an ms involved with territory servants) are hardly getting around their territory at all.. of course letter writing was slow going but now back to first call hardly anyone is going out in person and those few that do don’t do that much.. even the elders who are supposed to take the lead don’t seem to come out much at all and when they do i know of more than one example of them only doing ten mins maybe a few houses then going for the obligatory coffee break.

Front row seats watching the collapse of watchtower
by Indoubtbigtime ini’m a pimo ministerial servant and i won’t fade because i want to keep my front row seats watching what happens next few years.. my predictions are that this current governing body will slowly die off and the current younger helpers will be the next gb.
they will eventually have new light that they were wrong about 1914 and the overlapping generations.. the new light will be something on the lines of the last days are now because of king of north king of south pushing each other etc etc.
they will do their very best to burry old literature and try to change the past trying to make it sound like they were right all along just as they have done for 150 years now.

Hellothere
I actually think they gonna collapse. Back in middle of 90s there was a shift for watchtower downhill. We just couldn't see it. But I felt it. Last ten years the downfall just been getting faster. Specially last 5 years. You just can't stop a fall with a big organisation like this. It's like the Titanic. I thought they would fade away more and more. Don't think that anymore. I think they gonna implode from the inside. Just hope it's not gonna be a Jim Jones scenario.

it’s all in person and only fully vaxed can go
by Indoubtbigtime in2023 will see a big push to get rank and file back to in person meetings and ministry.
they have opened a can of worms with zoom but what they really want is only in extreme illnesses cases can someone use zoom .
the only problem is they want everyone fully vaccinated which means if you didn’t go for your latest booster in the last several months then you are no longer fully vaccinated and just the same as someone who never accepted any shots right from the start.

Bible text get out of Babylon is a command. If I'm recommending people too get into this org, with actually is showing all signs they don't have Holy spirit, I'm actually sinning. Any ways that's my thoughts on this.

Are the statistics out yet?
by slimboyfat inisn’t it about time they released the report for the service year?
or have they stopped publishing it?
did they released selected figures at the annual meeting as they usually do, such as the memorial attendance or record number of pioneers?

Hellothere
Spot on both Thomasmore and jw gonebad. Know jw women conducting bible study's that dropped her student cause they kept sending her articles about child abuse in org. She said she was ashamed of being a JW. Can not be fun knocking on doors and constantly be confronted with child abuse scandals or other JW negative material from the internet. Watchtower defensa, it's only apostate lies, it's not gonna work with the public. .

Hellothere
I'm telling you the DF arrangements are behind any positive numbers in JW land. If you ask a JW pimo if he is a JW, he's gonna say yes. Cause his afraid losing contact with family. Other religious groups don't have same situation. Only groups that really growing in new Zealand are Hindu and Muslim. Anglican, Roman Catholic and Presbyterian are the largest among the Christian groups in the country. Although Christianity is still the most common religion in New Zealand, there has been a steady decline over the past years. In the 2006 census, forty nine percent of the population identified with Christianity. It saw a huge dip and reduced to forty three percent according to the 2013 census. In the 2018 census, only thirty five percent identified themselves with Christianity. Most countries in Europe numbers are 0%, -1%, or +1. You can not have a discussion about growth when billions of hours are spent preaching and it's like 1% growth. This discussion is crazy 😂😁 -

Hellothere
There's always different reasons for numbers. Some years ago JWs we're growing in Norway. Reason many JWs moved to Norway cause there was more job opportunities. Puerto Rico was other way around. Many moved to mainland for jobs and numbers of JWs was staggering. Either way you cut things. Only reason watchtower is not dropping massively in numbers are the strict DF rules. Remove DF arrangements and oh boy the drop they gonna have.

JW Broadcasting - simply a platform for narcissists?
by eyeslice inone thing i notice from sitting through a number of broadcasts is just how much these guys love their titles.
it's always brother such-and-such, member of the gb, helper to the teaching committee, etc.
it's never simply brother such-and-such, a local elder with such-and-such congregation.. it seems to me the witnesses are pretty quick to pick up on catholics who call their priests father, which at the end of the day is in much the same vein simply a title.. i suspect these titles point to a huge amount of narcissism of the part of those who revel in such titles, certainly it doesn't seem to fall in line with christ's advocation that the greatest amongst you should be be the least.

I think JW broadcasting is the most funny thing watchtower has done the last hundred years. Morris, left and company used to irritate me every time they were on camera. But now they just amusing. If you think about it it's hilarious. Left with his faces. Morris angry slurring. Splane with he's weird look on things ( everything overlapping). Reminds me of Muppet show but with real people. It's just funny 😁 I'm kind of glad JWs getting some entertainment in their life as everything else is forbidden.

Hellothere
Yeah and without the DF arrangements JWs would probably have half its members. The Christian groups that you view as having " bad " numbers have about 30 - 100 million members. And growing. They can not be compared to little watchtower. Spending billions of hour on some work and see no real results is not "bad". It's a disaster.

Hellothere
In reality numbers have been really bad for year's. Billions hours spend in preaching and almost no growth. I mean the yearly report haven't been encouraging for JWs in the western world for long now. This has become such a staggered boring religion. Maeby if they removed current GB and put some new GB members on that are younger and hade some new ideas. They need major major major changes if they gonna change the downhill course they on. Think the preaching work is more a symbolic thing for watchtower this days. They are more interested in catching JW children at young age and keeping them in the org. Only way too do that is removing doe's boring jw meetings. Yes go online.

New poll shows public knows Jehovah's Witnesses and dislike them....almost as much as the Church of Satan

while not a pew survey, i found these to be surprising results.
" a recent yougov poll explores americans' attitudes toward 35 religious groups, organizations, and belief systems.

Hellothere
Not strange. Jesus spoke of love and healing. GB speak about 99% population must die in harmagedon. Maeby if they went with Jesus message they would be more liked.
