it the question that i have found myself constantly asking myself the past few months.
out of all the jws i interact with, why did it have to be me that woke up from this mess?.
i am relieved that i have woken up to the bullshit, but a side of me misses that fuzzy feeling of being a 100% believer.

ralph candelario is a jw.
he murdered his jw wife (his second wife) around january 2014 in walsenburg, colorado.
his first wife disappeared and has never been found but the jury was not permitted to know this.
Thansk for keeping us informed Barbara, such barbaric behaviour needs to be exposed!
cha ching, you wrote: Was this man DF'd before?
Yes he was...for starting a sect! After a CO and a few elders voted to have him removed as an elder, three cogeregations in Lethbridge became split! He and a few others began to meet in his home for prayer and study, and soon 83 persons left the KH and joined him!!!
Read all about his personal experience here:

thought it might be an interesting exercise to read the variety of questions people might ask.
Intriguing topic, it triggers the mind in so many ways. Well...
What kind of entity are you?
Do you deal with humans in our dimension or are you in some kind of abstract, unknown reality?
To what degree is the bible true?
How do you see organized religion? Will they all be forgiven or will they all be doomed since they all fail?
Is/was your son real?
Is there life after death? In what shape or form?
Is it our purpose to colonize other planets?
operation was successful only minor but some interesting information was revealed to me from the surgeon.l requested that they treat me as if l was a jehovahs witness with regards to blood transfusions.the doctor said well that varies from jw to jw and l asked what do you mean?his response was that in his dealings with jw's was that approx half of witnesses will accept a blood transfusion in life threatening circumstances and sign a form saying so.l was blown away when he told me this.l was curious if others in here have heard similar storys.lt seems to me that many witnesses have weakened their stance on this controversial subject.
Island Man et al told the truth about the policy regarding taking whole blood:
a person who is found to have unrepentantly accepted blood is disassociated from the congregation. There's practically no difference between that and disfellowshipping. The distinction that Watchtower is attempting to make is purely for technical legal reasons.
This was changed after the Bulgarian scandal regarding blood.
See: http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/bulgaria-blood-transfusions.php
I remember a CO explaining this during his visit. He told in one of his talks that someone disassociates himself after taking whole blood instead of being disfellowshipped. During the late 90's, I was still running the extra mile for the borg (reg. pioneer) and still too brainwashed (and unaware of the rise of the first sites critical of WT) to ask why the policy was changed regarding blood and not regarding idolatry, adultery etc. God, if I only had known how opportunistic the borg has been in so many cases.
Good thing there is still common sense among so many JW's who refuse the WT refusal of blood! Doesn't this indicate there is hope, one day the bubble has to burst! What if half of the borg would leave at a certain point?
hubby is on my team.
i know i'm going to be way happier.
i might even meet up with the apostafest in colorado with you guys.
Wow, think of all the freedom you'll have. It may be be wishful thinking, but if you're lucky, the elders will not contact you for a year or so.
hello to everyone.. i hope you are all well and sorting things out between yourselves.
i have temporary internet access which is probably a good thing for now.
i have been contacted by the arc in a respectful and loving manner today.
maintain a certain faith in the Australian system
I'm no aussie but you bet I will!
was this done for an advertising stunt?
received this in an email.. ------------------------------------------------.
.. a few days ago in porto alegre there was a rolling stones concert.
What the hell are the JDubs doing there? Haven't they heard of the song "Sympathy for the devil"?
(2 Corinthians 6:14) . . .. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness?
so my hubby has been on a bit of a roll about the jdubs, we were talking a lot about them & he said the buzz word he hate's the most is "worldly" why?
because he say's "with that one word they have condemned (according to their believes) a person as being worthy of nothing but death.
".
In Dutch, there is a Borg-word called "schriftuurplaats", and often used when a verse is adressed. It's not even an official word and can't be found in any dictionary, so how could I ever translate it in decent English? "Scriptural place" comes closest I guess. Anyway, once a brother (a former teacher) looked it up and found out it was a barbarism (it should be "schriftplaats") and truly a false expression, he HATED the use of the word. Poor guy, he's still a JW, forced to listen to it during ALL meetings!
i read in a european ex jw forum that this year they are making a special effort to invite not only the inactive but also a special effort is made to invite all disfellowshipped.
.
i don't know if this as always been a common practice, or something started anew so they can boast about the numbers of attendees..
Poztate wrote: The elders were instructed to contact all Da's Df'ed and Faders to invite them to Memorial
Well, then I guess it's official now...I'm a fader in the eyes of my cong. Good for them, even better for me
Last week an elder came to explain that the cong don't get it anymore (I'm close to six months of fading). Yesterday two elders stood at my door but I was on the toilet and my wife didn't want to invite them inside because of all our children being at home, not telling where I was I waited 'til they were gone and my wife showed me two invitations they gave us for the memorial...no way!
so, roger daltrey and pete townshend were on jimmy fallon tonight as the who.. without disrespect to others, i would put the top 5 rock bands, not necessarily in order, as:.
led zeppelin.
pink floyd.
One theory: The ongoing industrialisation in England must have fuelled the urge to let off some steam!
By the way, I would definitely make it a top 6 with Deep Purple, they really deserve the credits and are in the same league as the mighty Led Zeppelin t.m..h.o.
