  again, i'm a decade removed from the faith.

  i'm catching up now, and can't believe what i'm seeing.. i get that jw leadership faced a dilemma.

  there is no intellectual apparatus within the faith.

  Dutch branch refuses to meet with LGBT rights organization.

  in the wake of the anti-gay cartoon, the coc (dutch lgbt rights organization) invited watchtower netherlands to discuss how watchtower is dealing with lgbt people in their ranks.

  focus of the meeting would be on making sure lgbt jw feel safe and fully accepted.. today several newspapers are reporting that the branch declined the invitation, stating that they 'can't imagine lgbt jw feeling unsafe.

  the branch won't talk to coc, but they might discuss internally with lgbt jw.'.

  Nice footage Anders! The COC rightfully says it's unbelievable that JW headquarters don't want to talk about safety regarding JW LGBT's while they ALWAYS want to talk about their beliefs.

  Also great CoC offers support for JW LGBT's that want to discuss this matter within the Borg.

  Talking about human rights!!! It seems WT again will be put to shame by satan's ungodly system of things.

  Wow, interesting to hear that Belgium and Holland finally are on the chopping block also. Ex-bethelites won't find much hapiness in the regular field here (they'd better learn some foreign languages IF they can find the drive). The Netherlands is very secular, apathetic and materialistic. Growth has stopped since the 70's. JW numbers are stable, in spite of population growth.

  Do JWs ever doubt that the end is really coming?

  as a former dubber i had many occasions to doubt that the end was coming.

  i was told it was ok to doubt but not to think about it too much and wait on jehovah.

  that bull shit lasted until they changed the meaning of generation in 95 and that was the end of that bull shit for me.

  I think many in my old cong were/are suffering from the delayed A. Poor people with bad health but afraid not to wait on jehovah. Should they know about these?:

  We all know there are many more, but why the f&*k didn't they show me GEMS like these during my bible study 20 years ago? They made it look as if 1914 and 1975 were understandable mistakes! The oldest J-dub (already deceased) in my past cong truly hoped to see Armageddon. He got to know the "truth" back in 1950. I now often wonder...he MUST have known at least one or some of these false -now hidden- Russell/Rutherford prophecies, but WHY O WHY O WHY did I only got to know them last year!!! If I will ask his children about it, it might bring my -so far- perfect fading in danger.

  Dutch TV crew kicked out of Circuit Assembly

  in the netherlands, a tv crew for powned (a website/tv station known for their non-conventional approach and love for controversy) visited a circuit assembly.

  the video starts with them asking 'is everyone welcome here, even criminals, bikers, gays?

  ', and the answer is of course yes.. then the clip focuses on asking dubs questions about gays and the caleb video.. in the end the crew is asked to stop filming and leave.

  When I was 5 years old I was interviewed at a circuit assembly with my family about what I liked the best about being a JW. My scripted response was......"The ice cream at the 'semmblies"

  Now they don't even have ice cream anymore.

  Magwitch, nowadays, the money for icecream is donated for kingdom work anyway. Makes children really happy. The Caleb and Sophia video's are so cool!

  Type / Antitype article discredits many JW teachings

  i was going over the type / antitype articles that were released in last year's watchtower articles and i've just realized how ironic it is those very articles can serve to demolish some of the most fundamental jw teachings.. take for instance the "questions from readers" section of the march 15, 2015 magazine.

  after mentioning some "far-fetched" interpretations that others have applied to bible events, they go on to say:.

  if such interpretations seem far-fetched, you can understand the dilemma.

  Sanchy, I remember this study very well, it really helped me with my fading! This crap immediately made me realise one thing...WHY DIDNT THEY INCLUDE A LIST OF WORTHLESS & USELESS OLD "LIGHT".

  Guess it must have been decades and hundreds of pages of worthless overactive imagination. Same as with all the changes regarding the red "Climax" book! Has been studied four times at the congregation book study. It has always been my favorite WT book while I was still in, but isn't this book INFECTED and OBSESSED with types-antitypes and typology, constantly highlighting parallels with1st century and putting divine status on WT modern day organization?

  Even worse is the parabel about the faithful/discrete slave, as Anders Andersen already pointed out...so sad...as it is an absolute core teaching.

  Brrr...future doesn't look good for this cult, although so many are still in WT's utopian hypnotic trance

  so after the 2 special pioneers visited i thought i had given them an earful about the arc and the pedophile problem in their organization surely they would have put me on the do not call list.. oh, no not my luck i get an elder and his lovely little mute wife with infant child in the stroller this morning at 9 am.

  don't these people have a job to go to?

  it was a car with 3 men & a woman.. we go through the standard do you read the bible yada yada, i tell them i know the routine very familiar with your game.
