Were You Ever Disfellowshipped or Judicially Reproved?
by minimus ini never got into trouble with the elders.
i served on judicial committees too many times.
i am happy that i no longer have to "judge" whether someone is a "sinner" any longer!

Memorial Non-Attendance: The Single Most Impactful TTATT Witness to JW Friends & Family
by AMNESIANO in(original version posted 2014).
notice: the following is submitted in full recognition of and with compassion and due respect for those who, due to personal circumstance, feel they are unable to employ this powerful strategy.. ---.
anyone who has awakened to ttatt and has conscientiously left the organization--especially a once-prominent, highly-regarded, studious true-believer from a celebrated multi-generational tribe of jws-- after decades of devout, high-profile "serve-us," who continues to put in an annual appearance at the memorial thoroughly subverts and undermines, by this one act, any hope s/he may entertain that his/her departure will stir family or former friends to question the whole watchtower bamboozle.

I agree. Just like exjwlemming, my last memorial was 2015. My fade started almost 6 months later. I knew it would be the right signal to my congregation to show that I'd left without fear and fully convinced.

How are midweek CLAM meetings solid spiritual food in ANY way?
by Isambard Crater inbesides the possibility that the theocratic ministry school was dropped to avoid the word 'school' appearing any longer for a.r.c child abuse reasons, the introduction of the new clam meetings for midweek has been one of the several main factors making me develop a repulsion for the jw.org religion.. okay, the watchtower study is fairly mickey mouse these days too, but the midweek meetings are truly awful and contribute to me feeling physically and emotionally ill, which i documented in my first post on here.. i'm quite a well-educated person and my job involves a lot of linguistic skill, thinking, communication, analysis, research, interpretation and presentation.
the clam workbook is patronising and like something even school kids would tire of.. after a long day at work, i don't like the idea of dragging myself off to a midweek meeting in the cold dark nights let alone any other time of the year, but it'd be far better if it was for more solid spiritual food.
somehow the meetings i grew up with as a child were more interesting.

stuckinarut2 > Redpilltwice, I agree!
I said to my wife that purely out of curiosity, I would love to sit through one of these meetings! It would surely confirm that we did the right thing by leaving!lol, some might think we miss the "troof"! Well, I'd love to visit a CLAM in another congregation where I'm not well known, but on second thought (thinking about all the effort )...we have YouTube! Can you imagine having to sit through this for 90+ minutes??? Gosh.....

I feel for the victims and relatives.
I also agree with Simon. It's a shame that fighting jihadist ideology and radicalisation at the root is overshadowed by fear for racism and too much emphasis on privacy laws and data protection.
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/mar/22/attack-houses-parliament-london-what-we-know-so-far
Here is what the Guardian has been able to confirm so far:
- Four people have died, including a police officer and one man believed to be the attacker, police said.
- At least 20 other people were injured in the attack, some sustaining “catastrophic” wounds.
- The alleged assailant drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster. Bridge before crashing it and then trying to enter the complex, armed with a knife.
- He was shot by armed police inside the security cordon of the Houses of Parliament.
- Police currently believe there was only one attacker, but have locked down the area around Westminster for further searches, as a precaution.
- Two of the victims are thought to have died on the bridge.
- Three French students, from a secondary school in Brittany, were among those injured when the car ploughed into pedestrians.
- Three police officers returning from a ceremony were also among those injured on the bridge.
- One woman was rescued from the Thames with serious injuries, after she apparently jumped or fell from the bridge, a spokesman for the Port of London Authority said.
- Scotland Yard said it had declared the attack in Westminster, which began at about 2.40pm London time, “a terrorist incident”.
- The Palace of Westminster was put in lockdown for several hours, as armed police searched through buildings.
- Many MPs were confined to the Commons chamber after parliamentary business was suspended. But both the House of Commons and House of Lords plan to sit tomorrow as usual.
- The prime minister, Theresa May, was evacuated from the parliament building within minutes and driven to Downing Street.
- International leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Holland have sent messages of shock and solidarity. US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson sent condolences to victims.
- Both the ambulance service and the Metropolitan police have appealed to the public to call 999 only in a genuine emergency.
- The London Eye, opposite parliament on the other side of Westminster Bridge, is also in lockdown, with some being held inside the attraction’s pods.
- The Thames has been closed to all but emergency vessels between Vauxhall Bridge and Embankment.

My fade (september 2015) went so fast that I never got to visit even one CLAM.
For once, I still would like so see and hear what boring sh#t I'm missing. It probably would make me feel better to experience another confirmation that leaving the Borg was the right thing to do.
