  i was watching a fascinating ted-ex video on hypnosis and hypnotism with a friend.

  my friend wondered if the jws new music might have a hypnotic suggestion buried somewhere in it which gets everyone in attendance to listen and absorb stuff that is totally irrational for the entire program.

  ending with a second subliminal message in the final song along the lines of "you will snap out of this state when you next hear the word amen.

  Jesus fulfilling old testament prophecies like his legs not being broken

  what are everyone's thoughts on this, how his legs weren't broken, he was pierced with a spear and he wore a thorny crown?.

  i'm pimo and very much not wanting to believe, but like the daniel statue prophecies, these ones about jesus stick in my mind and give me "hmmm, maybe" moments..

  Calling Cofty and others regarding evolution

  so i have started down the path of trying to understand evolution, and to get the linear lies that the jws planted in my head out of it.

  i bought an audiobook called "evolution: what the fossils say and why it matters" by donald prothero.

  i heard it recommended on an atheist podcast that i listened to.

  Climbing Mount Improbable by Richard Dawkins answers very easily how an eye can see...he explains the many possibilities of the evolution of it.
  Just read an do research before spouting off nonsense or posting questions without researching the answer yourself.

  Notsurewheretogo, I am always intriguid by such claims that sound very, very convinced, but...

  Very easily? Because Dawkins explains the many possibilities of the evolution of it?

  What does he explain other than modern biology and anatomy? I've seen video's where he connects the dots with video's and animations of modern living species but at the same time he ignores vital parts such as the supposedly evolution of the eye's nerve system and how incredibly complex codes are processed..

  How are you sure that all those possibilities can be applied to real natural processes? We haven't observed it, we cannot reproduce it, fossils show already complex eyes during the cambrian, so how can someone really know the gradual evolutionary proces from bottom-up?. Why claim "fact" instead of "maybe" or "we don't know (yet)"?

  I believe there is much more time and observation needed before such evolutionary claims can be made with absolute certainty.

  I remain sceptical as more research needs to be done...

  Anyone struggle to find meaning in life?

  just wondering if this is a common thing for you guys and girls?

  when i left the jws it was hard to make a connection with people, much of the time i felt that whatever they wanted to talk about just didn't seem relevant/deep/meaningful.

  i find myself filtering my mind to get to a level with others (small talk mostly).

  Yeah, going from JW to christian to agnostic was a struggle, but it also was a natural and honest process.

  The only meaning I can find is this life. I have no proof of something else.

  An Active JW Sister Modelling For Me

  since leaving the borg i jumped both feet first into classes i've always wanted to do but was never "allowed" to.

  two of which are life drawing and photography.

  i've been studying for almost two years now and have seen more nude men and women in our classes than i care to remember.. today in the photography studio i was working in with three others (two women, one man) we were told we had a new person modelling for us.

  If The Governing Body Gave Running The Corporation Over To AI?

  what if the gb in desperation gave over their position as god(guardians of doctrine) and allowed ai to do a complete make over of policies to bring back profitability and avoid bankruptcy.. what kind of changes do you think artificial intelligence with some very good deep mind learning algorithm would make to policies to shield the corporation from further lawsuit in the future.

  what type of policies would it develop in short order to save this corporation from going belly up?

  E cart witnessing on our way to see Shen Yun in San Francisco

  today, i took the day off to go with my husband to san francisco on bart to see shen yun.

  coming out of the station, were two elders at a watchtower cart!

  my husband loves to witness to them.. started off with a smile and they smiled back and he told them he had been associated with jehovah's witnesses and now he is not but he wishes to tell them that even though they are going to hear things that are upsetting in the news, there is life after jehovah's witnesses.. they smiled and asked him if they could ask what religion he has gone to, or what he is doing now.

  Nice job! The bORG must be grinding their teeth for not being able to use a do-not-call list for the cart witnessing. The only protection against seeds of TTATT is to take your cart and leave. It makes then more vulnerable and will definitely cost members.

  Didn't the GB see this coming? True, the D2D work is in decline so maybe they had no other choice than to do this, but still quite naive to assume that apostates would not open that door to greater activity.

  with all those happy holidays gorby took some time to search in online dutch newspaper archives.

  great to see how much information is on the net.. i searchedon the subject jw and many articles, from negatie to positive and all in between came on the screen.. like the blood issue, 1975 worlds end, ray franz incident, former witness, finance,etc etc.. the question i asked myself, is that if there is so much kind of scandals and negative information over the years,how can a person ignore this?.

  if it looks like a pig, it smells like a pig and makers the noise of it... it has to be one.. g..

  back again!.

  so as i'm still pimo and living under my parent's roof, how can i get out of service?

  cause i really don't want to go and i feel dirty just knowing i could be influencing someone into this garbage..

  Haven't read all the posts but kudos to you for not wanting to spread lies.

  My suggestion? Do return visits alone as much as possible and when you are alone... do absolutely nothing what you don't want to do.

  Good luck, please let us know how you're doing and what suggestions worked for you.
