You're welcome introvert 2, thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately I was sucked in the cult years before lightning fast and relentless Google Almighty appeared. The info seemed trustworthy and I didn't had time to check everything in libraries. Then came 2012, I was an elder and read about the Candace Conti case. It triggered my gut-feeling that something was seriously wrong with the WTBTS and my conscience drove me to more research. Looking back, I regret it took me too long to open Pandora's Box filled with WT scandals, deceptions and lies so it is therapeutic and a good mental exercise for me to warn others on forehand, even if this Daniel is a troll (which he probably is, lol).

Daniel, welcome to this forum. You seem to be a happy, positive person that really wants to believe and also feels attracted to JW's and you have that right BUT...to make an informed decision before you go any further, make sure you use all the info on this forum and other sites, such as jwfacts.com, ad1914.com, watchtowerdocuments.org, jwsurvey.org etc. After thoroughly learning what is (unscriptural) bullshit and what is not, you might come to the conclusion that is will be impossible to identify as a JW and go door-to-door. Telling religious lies to people is cruel and might lead those who are uninformed, mentally instable, sensitive or need structure and a goal in life to a point where they will be lurked into what just feels and sounds good without knowing about the long list of WT's scandals (including sexual/child abuse) failed prophecies, half truths, misquotations, intellectual dishonesty etc. By not becoming a "real" member you will protect yourself from risks involving a tiring routine which will cost you time, energy, money and sometimes your (mental) health, shunning, ban of blood transfusion, interference of elders, judical committees etc.

This video reveals once again how much difficulty elders have with admitting that they know of Candace Conti, ARC. I can't believe they are ignorant, but I do believe many rank-and-file members still are (some don't even read papers or watch tv!) and they deserve to be informed. Sometimes it takes a Kevin Bunker to reach the ones that will always be kept away from the other side of the story.

Welcome to this forum, many have listened to their conscience since Candace Conti, the ARC, lying elders/GB members and other scandals brought to light how far the WT is prepared to go in order to whitewash their history of doctrinal lies and to hide info for their members. You've found a safe place to vent doubts, frustration and where you can find people who understand your situation without judging you for being honest and disagreeing with the GB. Tons of info to be found, including official WT letters that can give insight in the WT's doubletalk and lies. Bite through the pain and confusion and keep on searching for all that info that the Borg tries to hide for you. It is everyone's right to be informed and to have a chance to view both sides of a story.
The cognitive dissonance hurt many of us, including me, but believe me, it gets better in time and it's better to be (mentally) free than to be a WT slave under false conditions. It's cruel of the WT to hold members captive with fear, lies and false hopes...

So far, we can only look at three cases that already have been confirmed via internet and newspapers.

If we assume WT will have to pay the recently discussed + $ 2m fine that directly relates to WT's refusal to comply with court that asked for documents, we can add those few million as well.
A total sum including a hypothetical + 2m fine will show it would be very close to $ 18.6 million dollar at this very moment. Nobody will expect this to bring the WT to its knees (yet!), but keep in mind that the MORAL damage is already done and with future ARC related compensation/ punitive damages to be expected, the snowball effect will probably accumulate!
Awaiting future developments, it will be my pleasure to inform individual jw's about what actually happens with some of their donations.
