Gorgeous! Hopefully the GB will have a good laugh themselves when they're checking "apostate" sites like these...

And finally I'm out
by Skepsis inhi all.. it's being a while that i don't share in the forum.
after moving to another country and finding a job, i asked my congregation in my country to send my publishing card here.
once i did it, i stopped attending meetings.

Congrats Skepsis, you did the right thing! I think most here will feel the same about why they didn't leave the Borg earlier (that includes me).
Sure, life has its problems but getting rid of all those crazy WT restrictions and obligations is a HUGE improvement. So glad you are enjoying your freedom now.
And... again the Borg looses an apointed brother! Congregations must feel the pressure as more and more MS/elders are falling away because of TTATT/"apostate lies", adultery, age and (mental) health problems... what a painful trend for the WT! If only the GB would reckognise where they've saddened the holy spirit and put themselves on a slippery edge... god are they stubborn and self-righteous!

Brain tumor causes woman to become JW (4 times!)
by Anders Andersen inwhy one woman mysteriously started hearing 'divine' voices.
after doctors admitted the woman to the psychiatric unit of the hospital, they learned that this wasn't the first time she felt a strong interest in religion and spirituality.
she described four previous times in her life, beginning at age 13 and again at ages 23, 32 and 41, when she experienced periods of intense spiritual and religious devotion.during these periods, which lasted about a year or two, she would join jehovah's witnesses and then later resign, when she lost interest, according to the report.as part of her psychiatric evaluation, the woman also underwent an mri.

What a story Anders... poor woman! So she heard divine voices and used to cut herself during psychotic periods. Without having any medical knowledge of someone's tumor/disease and what it can cause, a JW normally would be very cautious and suspicious of demonism/witchcraft.
I wonder if she has ever claimed to be one of the anointed... would've been an awkward and delicate situation for the elders.

Thanks for sharing Maryo, haven't seen this one yet. How telling!
I guess the 2017 convention theme "Don't give up!" was already far too late and doomed to fail. The tide will not turn for the Borg...
Maybe a theme like "The benefits of google and the information age" would have drawn more truth-loving JW's.

The Seven Trumpets
by Jehovah lol inis it still watchtower dogma that the seven trumpets of revelation refer to seven conventions in the 1920s?
would many jws these days even be aware of this?
i find it so amusing that seven little conventions in the distant past, almost a century ago, could be equated with such an iconic biblical passage.

Jehovah lol you triggered me (lol again)...
Revelation has always been my favorite book, both biblical and the WT's red "Climax" book. Stuckinarut2 already mentioned the old light theme. Oh how I was pissed off when the notorious type/antitype WT study came. The GB/writing comite had turned that book into one big ANTI-climax, just like that! It surely was one of my WTF? moments that led to learning TTATT.
Of course the WT will never apologise for failed light and unreliabilty regarding the "guidance" by holy spirit. Their focus is much more on loyalty and they will count on it that those teachings will be forgotten and eventually will disappear into oblivion. Of course Google Almighty will help more and more to wake up, but with the current mental condition of the lame, brainwashed flock and the strong effects of FOG, the WT's blind eye for its own false teachings and fallacies might even work for the time being... most will not care.

What's destroying Watchtower!
by UnshackleTheChains infor me, beyond any shadow of a doubt, it's the extreme shunning policy.. at a recent sunday meeting, i listened to a complete brainwashed sister saying how important it was that we stick to the shunning policy even if it is a close relative.. i just thought.
wtf.
there is a big difference between the brainwashed and the awoken class!.

I competely agree. Shunning has to stop. Were it not for shunning and freedom of thought I could happily be JW.
Wow, that's interesting slimboyfat! So, unless you'd consider it "freedom of thought" (meaning you would have to lead a "double" life"), would you agree and accept the WT policies regarding blood, birthdays, X-mas, saluting the flag, bedroom restrictions etc.etc.? Just curious...

Difficulty fading out
by Emily1987 inthis is my first post on here so i apologize that it is like an essay!.
my husband and i are currently 'fading out' of the truth.
we stopped preaching in may 2016 and limited meeting attendance in january 2017 and stopped completely in june 2017. my main reason for this was my whole life i have been doing things to please others, even getting baptized to please my mum.

Hi Emily, welcome to this forum of freedom...this is the place where you can read about so many faders and how they've experienced their journey and the challenges involved. I'm a succesfull fader myself and the ARC of 2015 was the final blow for me and my family including kids. So late 2015, my fade went fast (first stopped attending meetings, then reduced field service to 0 in a few months) but as a resigned elder I knew the traps of the Borg and the personality and mindset of my former fellow-elders and all those over-zealous JW's that would love to be eyes and ears for the WT police. Therefore I chose NOT to celebrate X-mas so close after we started fading. A stricktly personal decision, but I never regret that one. We were too busy with overcoming our cognitive dissonance anyway and one elder was still visiting our house every few months in order to check our spiritual well-being (which was absolutely fine by the way since we had identified a false prophet ). Now we're out for two years, no more elder visits, congregation seems to accept our position and we can actually do whatever we want (birthdays, X-mas, New Year etc.) We still have to be cautious regarding who we talk to and I still avoid to have JW friends on Facebook but the benefits are that I still have access to JW's with open minds and can freely talk about what's going on in WT's rabbit hole. Thank god we had no other family in the Borg, otherwise things might have been much more complex or even impossible without collateral damage, I realize that.
Again, good luck with your journey to freedom, just type in "fade" in the forum's search-box and it might be a portal to exactly that "accurate knowledge" that you'll need in your current situation. This forum has all the up-to-date info, here you can ask questions, advice, find comfort, vent your frustrations and even have some really good laughs. It certainly has become my daily manna so, I hope you'll stay and keep us informed if possible!
