  Today we received new reports a few of them are reports form active JW's. I am sure that this is only a matter of time before we receive many more reports.

  Cong accounts analysis?

  anyone on here an ex accounts servant?

  i’d be interested in a projection of what percentage of contributions come from elderly jw’s.

  i.e, money that will be diminishing over next 5 or 10 years as these ones pass on.. i estimate that in one of my previous congs 50% of the contribution totals of approximately £400 each month were being made by the over 70’s demographic.. within the other 50% were pioneers and low paid workers who put in regular but small amounts.. i guess when the accountants ring the alarm bells you start cutting the biggest costs; full time servants, buildings, printed literature.

  When I did the accounts I was suprised to see that a retired JW donated 180 euro each month!

  He died this year. Don't know if his wife stopped the donation.

  That'll be enough for most JWs to dismiss this as an attack from Satan

  That may be right for the moment Fred but as more and more victims seek help and come out with their stories time is our friend. Every honest and sincere JW soul simply has to reach his or her turning point, at least morally. It will teach them to watch their mouth about their "truth" and "biblical moral standards" while in service. Seeing that victims have been suppressed by WT policies/guidelines (call bethel first, 2 witness rule, not bringing reproach on god's name etc.) but will find help and justice OUTSIDE their beloved organisation must make someone think about the workings of the holy spirit and the intentions of the GB.

  The Bible tells in John 8:44 that Satan "...is a liar and the father of the lie."
  

  JW's only need to identify who is lying here. Was Stephen Lett right about the "apostate driven lies" in his JWBroadcast moments of fame or not? (answer already given by Geoffrey Jackson under testimony before the ARC ).

  After the US, UK, Australia, Canada it's time that people start to reckognise that there IS a global pattern of abuse related problems and that that also applies to their own country, such as now in The Netherlands. The voice of the victims will only get louder and louder.

  I'm a sober agnostic ex-JW now so those words raised my suspicion that these unveiled thruths were HIS truths only. Therefore I agree with Island Man.
  
  

  It's a mind altering drug. It doesn't uncover any truths that lie within. It just warps your thinking and gives you hallucinations.

  That must have happened to my friend too. He has clearly seen the light (literally has more glassy eyes), created his own blog and is writing a lot about how we need to alter our perception of everything and need to (re)view our ego. Hmm, a bit too hippy-ish for me but as long as he's happy and doesn't knock on doors.

  JW's on my front sidewalk

  so last weekend, the jw's ring the bell and my wife answers.

  we live in a heavily spanish neighborhood but don't really speak spanish.

  i thought my wife was quite clear that she is a "sister" to them, but maybe the one in charge of the group didn't get the message.

  God are they brainwashed! I was too but I'd never make such a claim. We all need to keep telling them (gently) NOT to go from door-to-door if they don't know the facts and refuse to do research.

  hello all, many years i have been lurking on this site.

  gradually i’ve learned the real truth, gone from serving as a servant and at bethel to inactive for almost a year, barely ever wasting time going to meetings.

  my family is large and very active and so is my wife’s so leaving altogether is difficult.. though it seems now that everything is about to change.

  Wow, I could have said welcome as well, but I see that you have been lurkng here for about 10 years and already posted back then. That's a long time ago and I feel a bit little now... nothing but respect for long time members.

  But of course I truly feel sorry that you are in this current situation. It wasn't your choice to leave. Must be strange after having read so much info and personal experiences from others during all those years.

  Yes, you WILL keep your head above the water. May your new life give you strenght and renewed energy and yes, this forum will always be there for advice, comfort, to vent......
