We have to... I just know... I do believe...
Yes, he is so convinced that in that OP quote he mentions
SOCIETY three times,
JW/witness(es) three times
SATAN one time
and JEHOVAH?????
Nope......... not ONE SINGLE TIME!!!
i was talking to a jdub yesterday about child abuse in the organisation and this was his response:.
"it has been known for kids to make stuff up.
we have to trust the society on these things, also the legal process is there.

I just know that Satan will do his best to discredit the witnesses.
I do believe the press on a lot of things just not jw stuff.
Yes, blind obedience to the gb, denial of facts and the persecution complex make JW thinking VERY cultish! They seem to feel special and thrive on the idea that satan paying more than the regual attention to them makes them the only true religion.
If I could I would ask that fu#ker why Geoffrey Jackson admitted under oath that there IS a problem with child abuse within the organisation.
with christmas gorby had a good talk with his jw father about “time tends to fly” and how everything changes.. he concluded: “if our grandparents would visit the kingdom hall now, they would headshaking left the building and never returned.”.
it says something, does it?.
g..
It’s about all.
And the more and more lose of christian love in the congregation
Didn't think of that one at that moment Gorby, but how sad and what a painfull addition to "about all". I hope you can have more good talks with your dad and that it can help to really let reality sink in regarding the WT's legacy of false hope and broken dreams.
well , not really.. our hall recently had a secret collection for our head elder who is almost on the verge of becoming homeless.
i guess he lost some cleaning contracts because his clients were just sick of his no shows because of his pioneer work.
there is always something more important to do than earn a living.. this is the same assholes he is always shaming people to not doing enough.
But when an elder's wife started suffering from depression, her brother, who was also an elder, said 'I know what she needs to cheer her up - a horse!' And, I kid you not, there was a collection and they bought her one!
Phoebe, I also knew a depressed elder's wife in a similar situation. Her therapist told her to do things she REALLY liked (o the irony) as part of her therapy and she decided that it would be...oh yesss... horse-ride le$$ons on a weekly basis! She had no paid job so her full-time working elder husband paid for it and she quickly applied her given medical advice to only visit meetings if she felt she could handle it. Don't know if he ever bought that horse for her, but we all know how expensive lessons and horse related things are and in fact unreachable for the poor in the cong.
Not condemning depression or horse-lessons in any way, but isn't it impressive to see how the holy spirit can work through a body of elders? The key lies in Hebrews 13:7. The rank and file just need to "imitate their faith" and work a bit harder and who knows,,,maybe they will receive such wonderful blessings as well?
Cliques and money...and the poor waiting for Jehovah. The rabbit hole is deep in JW la la land.

It says a lot Gorby, thx for sharing your experience.
The question remains...WHAT to his opinion would have stumbled the grandparents the most? Something particular such as the overlapping generation, 1914 still being taught, JwBroadcast, the problems with pedophiles, merging of congs and selling so many KH's, the decline of literature, meetings, bethelites and so on, less d2d work and use of the bible in field service, the new emphasis on cart witnessing and not being allowed to start the debate and IF a question is asked, quickly referring to jw.borg for answers, or maybe even the new music including clapping/dancing?
Or...(almost) all of this?

A secret collection?
Almost homeless??
How do they know if this is not Jehovah's will for him to serve in that specific field where the need probably is great?
Who needs houses and property anyway with the end so very close?
a load of j.w's in my family and the congregation i attend as a pimo have been saying the end is very close because the anglo american world superpower is clearly still the king of the south, and russia is now clearly king of the north due to persecuting and banning the religion there and seizing property.. i've forgot what the religion used to teach and maybe still does, about the timing of all this king of north + south stuff, the attack on all religion by the u.n and then the attack on j.w's who will be left standing.
i mean, i thought jehovah was going to put it into the u.n's minds to ban or attack all other religions, then the attack on j.w's, but witnesses seem to think the end is so, so close because russia has banned them.. it's sad, as some dubs i know have sold their homes and made other big decisions so they can pioneer in these 'very last of the last days'..

Hello??? 1975 anyone???
“Yes, since the summer of 1973 there have been new peaks in pioneers every month. Now there are 20,394 regular and special pioneers in the United States, an all-time peak. That is 5,190 more than there were in February 1973! A 34-percent increase! Does that not warm our hearts? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end.” Kingdom Ministry May 1974 p.3 How Are You Using Your Life?
one of the most memorable, and beautiful, cinematic conclusions .
.. and beginnings?.

Haven't seen that movie but imagine the gravitational pull... the waves are remarkably calm.
the following is a qfr from the april, 2018 watchtower.
just a couple of articles back the organization was explaining how jws need to be encouraging and even when admonishing congregations jesus would start out with encouraging words.
we see none of this in the qfr, rather, it is heavy handed and legally incorrect.. why is it not permissible to post publications of jehovah’s witnesses on a personal website or on social media?.
Imagine if a commercial organisation instructed its customers not to look at reviews of their products.
Brilliant! What school overseer wouldn't have loved you to death for this illustration?
I look forward to use it...
it's a fear-based religion, at its core.
jws fear many things, but what or who do they fear the most?
let's find out.... 5) satan.
