We know definitively there is NO “common ancestry” fossil tree coming out of the Precambrian strata. Fossils supporting this fictitious idea do not exist. That’s what's “current.”

This thread is a focus on current evidence updates in regard to evolution, which I find amazing when one considers the way Evolution is presented as an infallible "fact." This dogmatism is so reminiscent of JWism (“we’re the true religion”) I’m NOT going give it a “wait of Jehovah” pass.

Yes, Evolution dogma is shockingly false just like JW dogma is. A theists cannot be allowed to highjack this thread by using personal ad hominem to silence those simply shining light on another house of cards ready to collapse (like the bully JW leadership).

That would be the lesson if there were any new information available. Instead we have the same old crap from creationists.

Atheist Professor Thomas Nagel has regrets from embracing a Darwinian worldview because of the latest (NEW) fresh reexamination of the Neo-Darwinian theory, which exposes it as an inept explanation for life on earth. It’s not unusual for MANY with an indoctrination (like Darwinism) to later realize it’s false. History shows this can happen often, like I said before, e.g. JWism, Nazism and Marxist Leninist Communism.

The S.C. Meyer's Darwin’s Doubt influence undoubtedly contributed to Professor Nagel’s awakening.

The modern materialist approach to life has conspicuously failed to explain such central mind-related features of our world as consciousness, intentionality, meaning, and value. This failure to account for something so integral to nature as mind, argues philosopher Thomas Nagel, is a major problem, threatening to unravel the entire naturalistic world picture, extending to biology, evolutionary theory, and cosmology.

Since minds are features of biological systems that have developed through evolution, the standard materialist version of evolutionary biology is fundamentally incomplete. And the cosmological history that led to the origin of life and the coming into existence of the conditions for evolution cannot be a merely materialist history, either. An adequate conception of nature would have to explain the appearance in the universe of materially irreducible conscious minds, as such.

Nagel's skepticism is not based on religious belief or on a belief in any definite alternative. In Mind and Cosmos, he does suggest that if the materialist account is wrong, then principles of a different kind may also be at work in the history of nature, principles of the growth of order that are in their logical form teleological rather than mechanistic.

In spite of the great achievements of the physical sciences, reductive materialism is a world view ripe for displacement. Nagel shows that to recognize its limits is the first step in looking for alternatives, or at least in being open to their possibility.

Yes, this is the take away for the fossil record. Life on earth arrives in abrupt burst, various plants, animals, etc., and then humans.

Over and over again it reminds us Evolution gradualism and transmutation as well as mud puddle magic (abiogenesis) is NOT in the fossil record.

So, DNA and Epigenetic INFORMATION loom large as the answer, the key way to explain the various life assimilations.

Slow down. Discussion is impossible if you are going to be hysterical. The Bible and Noble Prize have nothing to do with this.

We know Evolution (gradualism and transmutation) and mud puddle magic (abiogenesis) is not viable. Science says when something is not viable (has anomaly glitches), waste no more time, move on.

So, looking at the evidence, what theory best explains the Cambrian Explosion? All science tools must be available to solve this. This means informatics science, the best tool to explain instructions and messaging evidence found in the Cambrian Explosion DNA and Epigenetic software, must be used. We can’t exclude science simply because it goes some place ideologically we might not like—with regrets that’s how Einstein handles the rude awakening of the expanding universe and quantum mechanics.

Let chips fall where they may, accept it, learn and move on. That's the lesson.

I was thoroughly educated in Evolution. I understand all its arguments.

Hear me out:

When you learned Steady State theory (eternal universe) was wrong and the correct understanding is the Big Bang theory (universe beginning origin), after understanding you accepted this change. True?

That's exactly what’s going on with Evolution as explained here, Post 211 of 224

Cambrian Explosion proves Evolution is wrong. Life arrives exactly opposite (reverse) of Evolution. More complex life arrives first, AND THEN came small-scale variations.

So you have to adjust your understanding of life’s origin, just as you warmed up to the Universe having a beginning origin.

This is new; older books have the older understanding (obsolete).
