Thoughts on annual meeting “new light”

so, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.

old light: once the “great tribulation” starts, that’s it for non-jws.

the “door of the ark” is closed.

If you analyse this statement then it really doesn’t fit in with Jehovah chose his one true religion in 1919?

The first talk Br Winder said something about Jehovah couldn’t reveal all his plans to Abraham because he was too stupid. Or words to that effect which is very patronising to Abraham.

So all the failed predictions and the many things they got wrong was just because Jehovah didn’t feel it was the right time to tell them his plans?

Including the Beth Sarim luxury mansion out of donations that was supposed to be for Abraham and others who were supposed to be resurrected. When that didn’t happen it was convenient for the top dogs to live in Luxury to the end of their days.

the gb seems to have a bunker mentality, that they are special, and that the world is out to get them, so they tend to keep within their tightly controlled, protective environment.

bottlegate proved that there is some danger outside of the rarified atmosphere of their echo chamber; you never know when a camera might be trained on you, or that someone might recognise you as being something more than plain old "joe citizen".

further, tm3's new address was quickly found and distributed, and (as i understand it) someone drove to his gated community to tell the security guard that tm3's "ass is grass".

Balamasy you are right about the reverse coats and hats thing I remember that. I also remember recently having direction to hide literatures and survival items outside your home, and many times in the go bag reminders to store a reasonable amount of food and emergency equipment

That’s a good point enoughisenough. They are now saying he sits on his throne after the destruction of all false religions, so wouldn’t this be the time to judge religion? They previously said that happened in 1919.

They are going to have to have new light on that and so many things.

SadElder it’s not clear if they still claim that Jesus was enthroned in 1914, maybe they still claim that but he is taking 110years to actually sit on the thrown that he was enthroned on😂

If it actually happens it will be interesting to see how he responds to the many questions about sex workers?

Unless all the questions about sex workers are considered spam and are being deleted?

Last time he was asked on Andrew Gold interview he just said something “of course the main reason I went to Thailand was to meet sex workers”

He said it in a sarcastic way but of course it’s the truth, what will he this time?

It’s hilarious but it really is the new JW teaching.

There is so much wrong with it before the thing about he was enthroned but not yet sat on the throne 110 years later. How can you be enthroned but not yet sat on the throne 110years later?

For a start there is no 2nd greater fulfilment of the 7 times prophecy. That was just about Nebuchadnezzar living like a beast for 7 years. William Miller made a stupid theory about it and JW went even further with Millers theory and made it even more stupid.

Then there is the confusion over 607, Nebuchadnezzar wasn’t even king until after this so how could he have destroyed Jerusalem then? It was 20yrs later 587.

Then when you think about how they got from 607 to 1914 in the first place it has nothing by to do with a second fulfilment of Nebuchadnezzar living like a beast for seven years.

The most absurd thing is that millions of JWs have trusted the men who claim all this is true. It such a huge mass mind deception.

For those who wonder if this was a little trail to test the waters but still having the option to backpedal, I don’t think the men at the top are clever enough to even devise a plan so sophisticated.

So will this regional convention be the same all around the world? I didn’t know it started in January? I wonder when the first English language version of that talk will be? And to those in Bethel who read these pages, will you consider changing that outline due to the confusion of Jesus having been enthroned in 1914 but not yet sat in the throne 110yrs later

It’s a soft new light that Jesus never sat on his throne in 1914 but at the moment the vague notion that he was still enthroned in 1914 is still there but according to JW land he has taken 110 years to actually sit down, basically he was enthroned standing up.

his bum hasn’t touch the seat yet but he was enthroned 110 years ago before his bum touched the seat part of the thrown.

it must hurt his knees 110 years since he was enthroned but he hasn’t quite taken the weight of his legs yet even though his bum is very close to sitting on the throne.

yes this is what JWs are saying.

So many JW brothers have got into the habit of closing prayers with “through the name of our enthroned king Jesus Christ” so can they still say that after this talk or should it be changed to “through the name of our soon to be enthroned king Jesus Christ”

Hotels for convention

a department in bethel wants to try to make money from regional conventions by asking local hotels if they will give a special rate and a coupon code to give to jws.. .

they should just keep it simple and not be greedy for dishonest gain.. .

this year some convention sites the hotels said no thank you i think the jws are going to book with us anyway.

The situation is different today even if someone dobbed in the naughty witnesses for going against direction, it doesn’t seem to matter these days.

Look how many are going against direction by not keep getting the vaccine anymore to stay fully vaccinated.

Most JWs think for themselves these days and won’t follow direction without thinking it through themselves. What are the elders going to do if publishers don’t go and get a vaccine or don’t go and stay in the expensive hotels they want them to?
