Overlapping Generation

the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.

his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .

no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

David Splain made the point that they would have had to have been anointed before those who saw the sign died off. Not born before but actually served long enough to be made anointed

say the last of them died in the 1990s the youngest overlappers would have been at least middle age in the 1990s to have been anointed before those first ones died off.

the older members of the GB were anointed before the 1990s but the new younger members were not.

At least the two new members were not anointed in the 1990s and maybe some of the other younger members of the GB

so if you were anointed after the last of those who saw the sign in 1914 died off then you are not overlapping generations is that right?

this is a big 🚩

if the GB have the correct interpretation and this doctrine is from Jehovah then why are still more becoming anointed after the 1990s when the last of those who saw 1914 died off?

It will wear you down both physically and mentally pretending be someone you are not.

I have to disagree. I think PIMA is the best course.

We all know the PIMIs have a great hope and this has many advantages. I can have those advantages while being agnostic. I can also have the other advantages of staying physically in. Good friends and great social life.

Agnostics also have the advantage of not having the wool pulled over their eyes. We know the GB are wrong but they are doing what Br Jackson said at the ARC “ we see ourselves as trying to fulfill that role” he was talking about the faithful slave.

Life is so much better being PIMA, I’m sitting on my lawn chair watching what’s going on with all the changes. Finding it all very interesting and enjoyable going to meetings with beards and sweaters

Agnostic means the Bible may or may not be the word of God. Jesus was a real historical character and I feel it’s beneficial to study the Bible and live by Bible principles.

When I’m on my deathbed I will feel no regrets having wasted my time being PIMA. I will be at peace either way. We just don’t know what happens after death the only to know is get there and see what happens.

the new light means that if the Bibles promises of a resurrection are true then we will all get there unless we are apostate.

I hope there is some truth to the Bible and this hope has a positive impact on me. The atheists could be right also and then you just die and that’s the end of it. Having a hope is better than no hope.

Armageddon Car

how many of you bought a nice sedan, suv, or even a minivan back in the days that you described as your "armageddon car" that you would care for and it would last until the end arrived?.

i was driving a 1974 plymouth volare wagon in 1992 when i managed to get an 8-year old buick century.

it was low mileage and had a very luxurious interior.

I think the cybertruck would be the best Armageddon car. It’s bulletproof small bomb proof and water proof to the extent that it is amphibious.

if there is a nuclear biological or chemical attack then you can pressure seal the cab and breathe through a filter oxygen tank. It’s designed to drive on Mars.

you could always say you bought it to help with pioneering 🤪

Thank you for generously helping those in need, such as by providing temporary accommodations or other practical assistance. They do seem to be very interested in preparedness.

every congregation has a back up meeting location if not the KH. Ours is a very big supermarket well retail outlets just out of town. We have even designated areas around the different car parks for all the groups to meet so that we don’t have 100s in one place.

there is so much effort put into group leaders and their assistants to contact everybody and make sure they are ok.

my question is say we can’t meet at the Hall, and we had to leave our homes for some reason we all go and meet up at the designated locations, then what?

where do we all go if we can’t go back to our homes?

what if some can go back to their homes but some can’t? Are we expected to house those who can’t go back to their homes? Will elders have to assign who goes where?

the new soft touch approach kinda means you do what you think is best not what the elders tell you. I will choose who can and who can’t come and stay with us if there is a major disaster

I wonder how many rank and file know what went on? Watchtower fought in court saying this is Gods way, we trust God this is his way of doing things.

Then they lost.

They now have to go against Gods former way of doing things to keep getting handouts from the government but don’t worry this is now conveniently Gods new way of doing things.

Thoughts on Likely Upcoming Changes in the Org.

i am thinking that the "ten year plan" that some have spoken of is the most likely scenario.

the org.

has to both attract new members and retain as many existing ones as possible.. so i think they will let the recent changes "bed in" for a while, maybe a year ?

Well, it is harmful David Splain. You will regret saying that. This is more proof than anything else that this is a human run organisation.

Every member of the GB pushed the vaccine but David Splain is the one most remembered by people keep quoting what he said.

This is why we don’t see him much these days. Also he was the one with the stick explaining the overlap generations. They really wish they could delete that and hope everyone forgets it
