I hope everything works out for you, goodsoul. Please send your letter stepping down quickly, before the co gets there. Is it possible for you and your wife to be away from home for most of the days and early evenings during the week of the co's visit? Browsing at stores, movie night, just anything so as not to be caught off gaurd by an unexpected visit? You sound like you are simply not ready to speak to anyone, and it might stress you out too much. All the best to you and your wife in your fade.

The Mormons would not let me speak at my Dad's funeral
by FormerMormon in--because i no longer nelieve.
i was excommunicated for "apostasy".
that was their rationale for not allowing me to speak at his funeral last month.

I'm so sorry for your loss, formermormon. It sounds like you have good memories of your Dad, and had a good relationship with him till the end. I hope that gives you comfort.
As for not allowing you to speak, and boxing you and your family in with the 2 largest men, kind of sounds like a Mormon Mafia! If you still speak to your family, you may want to mention that when you told the story of your Fathers funeral to others, and how you were treated, they were appalled and it reaffirmed their beliefs that Mormons are a strange, unchristian sect that does not really follow Jesus teachings.

Thank you for this post. May I add my 2 cents in here? I apologize to anyone I may offend, but what they do when they dance around a subject like wrong dates (false prophesies) they have given as ABSOLUTE TRUTH, calling them wrong expectations, is called covering their asses! They have no new light! They're dim bulbs.

It's just facebook. It's supposed to be fun. Block her from seeing anything on your wall so she cannot see what you are posting or liking. Then you don't have to worry about what she is seeing. I know some people who "creep" on others pages, and if the settings are not there, they can see things whether you are friends or not. One of my husbands nephews tried to do this to me. He tried to friend me, and told my husband they could spy on me that way. My husband thought that was OFF THE WALL CREEPY and told me not to friend anyone from that family. I learned how to block certain people from seeing anything but basic info. You might be wise to do the same. At least she will still speak to you, that's something, right? This way you can keep it cordial. Just my 2 cents.

Hopefully, with time, your children will come around. I hope you can find something interesting to keep you occupied today so you don't have too much time to think about this.

I think the advertising profession is just a tough one, Loubelle. My one child also had an advertising/pr degree with a couple of specializations. She has had a couple of internships, and had disliked the one, and now has a job that is certainly not her dream job, but she is getting experience and paying her bills. I think you just have to get some time under your belt and keep applying for other positions. Don't get discouraged, at least you have something, and you know it's not forever. You will get something that you like better. And all the best on your journey to lose weight. I am doing the same thing, but it is slow going. I'll be rooting for you. And you certainly don't sound like someone who needs a partner to be happy! Your posts sound like a woman who really has it together.
