Either there was a creator or you believe in chance, evolution?
What other option is there?

So we have established that no other organisation comes close to the truth from the bible, or we would have mentioned them clearly by now in this thread.
So I get the impression that one alternative from JWs is to just not care? Dont think about it too much, maybe the bible is right maybe not. Maybe there is an intelligent creator maybe there isnt?
This doesnt make any sense to me. At some point in a persons life they wonder what is the purpose of life, why are we here? Why is there so much suffering on Earth?
The Bible gives truthful answers, but if you dont care if its true or not then you will never get to the truth.

I was a fast learner when I initially got pulled into a 'study' with JWs. I quickly mastered the art of learning how all the bible books are organised, picking out 'special' scriptures.....learning the mystical 'equation' from daniel and revelation that makes 1914...
Long time ago now.
Oh, and I learned how JWs were involved in a separating work, actually dividing the sheep from the goats. Those who turned down God's provision of a 'holy' magazine at their door, were in effect, turning away from and rejecting God. This belief and doctrine was valid right up to the early 90s.
A 'no thank you' to me standing at their door was in fact a rejection of my message from God - according to the WTBTS.
Yet my magazines, leaflets and publications contained erroneous 'truths' it would later turn out...
I thought we were 'different' to other religions ....
Just my thoughts.

So to sum up what options we have come up with so far on this thread:-
1. No religion, the Bible is just another book written by men, so you then have to believe in Evolution.
2. There is a creator, but JW's are not the closest to the truth, but after 21 pages of hundreds of posts, we still cant find another alternative.
3. Is there a third option?

its going to be a real beautiful place when its finished.. they are going for quality over quantity.
it used to be accommodation for a few thousand permanent residents, now its looking like less than a thousand permanent with the possibility of a few thousand more in temporary accommodation should the need arise.. some say the plans are going to be like a garden of eden in england :) i mean they had farming in london over the years but this is going to be epic what they are planning for temple farm at chelmsford.. they are planting thousands (literally) of fruit trees, including tropical fruits in huge green houses, huge vines yards and then the same basic farming activities as before.
Anyway back to Chelmsford, does anybody have upto date info on the underground project?
Somebody said they are letting a few more people in, a bit closer than before, does this mean they have got the top back on, so now what remains underground can remain hidden?
I would so love it if an insider could post some pictures or something.
Once they start building over the secret project, it will be very hard to tell what that was all about with the secret underground bunker or whatever it is.
i haven't seen this mentioned yet.
last year in the uk, shortly after the money grab that everyone had, we had a video and letter (both probably still available from atlantis) appealing for money for the new bethel and slips were handed out etc.
this means that most uk congregations are sending a regular donation specifically for the chelmsford build.

Yes I know the Mormons have some very weird ideas about aliens and they will all be gods ruling over the rest of us when the aliens come back to Earth. I think that is all nonsense.
But I still think the Mormons are the next best alternative, compared with every other option we have come up with in this thread. If this is wrong then please come up with another suggestion? Who do you think is the best alternative to JW's?
Which real church are you suggesting please? Im serious please suggest which one I want to look into it?

Somebody said the truth has not yet been found out yet, OK this is another option. Maybe there is an as yet created religion who will in the future follow the bible closer than JWs.
But on reflection, after 6000 years of human history, I think it would have come about already.
When Jesus said this is how you will know my true followers, those who have love amongst themselves, he was saying that there would be a true religion and it would be clearly identifiable by the fact that they will be united in every nation and they will have love for each other.
Well the Catholics for example on both sides in WW1 and WW2 fought against each other, and Jesus identifying feature only applies to JWs.
