Better to stick to the bible, ALL of it. JWs are the only ones who do that. Using the divine name is also key. -

We debunked the Anglican church and other many pages ago, please have another read and if you still think they are the best alternative, can you please state clearly why they have the truth from the Bible?
But at least you come out with a clear option, so many other posts just say mumbo jumbo like the truth is within you, or some such nonsense.

Former Brother, I believe God still cares and provides guidance through the Bible. In the age of literacy, I believe we're responsible for picking up that guidebook and knowing it for ourselves. As I said before, there are alternatives and there isn't one right answer about a place of worship. Contrary to what the Watchtower has said, the truth is not a religion, it's Jesus. His death and more important, His resurrection, save us. It's a gift and not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Outsider, we are in agreement about everything except from " there isn't one right answer about a place of worship." or all roads lead to God. I just cant see how it doesnt matter to God what you believe or who you follow.
It has to matter, there has to be one truth from the bible, not different truths many different interpretations that God is pleased with opposing beliefs?
If Jws are not correct, which I will possibly accept, then which option is the correct option that god is pleased with?
There has to be one truth, there cant be more than one option. There is no place in the Bible that indicates it doesnt matter if two followers of Jesus teachings have different beliefs about the bible, they are both correct. Think about it.
So again, which option is there if not JW's?
Mormons, maybe? One of the 30K so called Christian faiths? If so which one?

Jesus Christ is the alternative to religion
He is the Saviour. Religion is a false substitute.
Religion cannot save. So don't join a church to get saved.
Get saved and find others who love Jesus and want to serve him.
You will find such in many assemblies.
Stay away from any church or group that claims it is the only church that God approves of or is necessary to follow to gain life everlasting.
-
So on the one hand stay away from others who love Jesus true teachings, and on one hand find others who do love Jesus teachings and get together in assemblies?
Ummmm I dont get what you are saying?

Trying to find an alternative to JW's. After many years, I still can not find any other option that comes as close to ALL the Bible as JWs do.
If there is an option that I have missed please tell me here, I would like to look into it deeply. -

"I don't believe in god, but neither do I care about evolution." Punk, does this mean you havent decided yet what you believe, or you just dont care?
Either there was a creator or you believe in chance, evolution?
What other option is there?
"I live in the here and now. I survive the moment. How we got here is no longer relevant once the penny dropped that it makes no difference. We'll die. End of. No one will care in 100 years time about who I was."
So we have established that no other organisation comes close to the truth from the bible, or we would have mentioned them clearly by now in this thread.
So I get the impression that one alternative from JWs is to just not care? Dont think about it too much, maybe the bible is right maybe not. Maybe there is an intelligent creator maybe there isnt?
This doesnt make any sense to me. At some point in a persons life they wonder what is the purpose of life, why are we here? Why is there so much suffering on Earth?
The Bible gives truthful answers, but if you dont care if its true or not then you will never get to the truth.

Hi,
I was a fast learner when I initially got pulled into a 'study' with JWs. I quickly mastered the art of learning how all the bible books are organised, picking out 'special' scriptures.....learning the mystical 'equation' from daniel and revelation that makes 1914...
Long time ago now.
Oh, and I learned how JWs were involved in a separating work, actually dividing the sheep from the goats. Those who turned down God's provision of a 'holy' magazine at their door, were in effect, turning away from and rejecting God. This belief and doctrine was valid right up to the early 90s.
A 'no thank you' to me standing at their door was in fact a rejection of my message from God - according to the WTBTS.
Yet my magazines, leaflets and publications contained erroneous 'truths' it would later turn out...
I thought we were 'different' to other religions ....
Just my thoughts.

Alive, so what do you think is the alternative? Do you think the bible is just another book written by men?

So to sum up what options we have come up with so far on this thread:-
1. No religion, the Bible is just another book written by men, so you then have to believe in Evolution.
2. There is a creator, but JW's are not the closest to the truth, but after 21 pages of hundreds of posts, we still cant find another alternative.
3. Is there a third option?

Plans for huge Jehovah's HQ take shape
by Formerbrother inhttp://www.chelmsfordweeklynews.co.uk/news/11227290.plans_for_huge_jehovah_s_hq_take_shape/.
its going to be a real beautiful place when its finished.. they are going for quality over quantity.
it used to be accommodation for a few thousand permanent residents, now its looking like less than a thousand permanent with the possibility of a few thousand more in temporary accommodation should the need arise.. some say the plans are going to be like a garden of eden in england :) i mean they had farming in london over the years but this is going to be epic what they are planning for temple farm at chelmsford.. they are planting thousands (literally) of fruit trees, including tropical fruits in huge green houses, huge vines yards and then the same basic farming activities as before.

Anyway back to Chelmsford, does anybody have upto date info on the underground project?
Somebody said they are letting a few more people in, a bit closer than before, does this mean they have got the top back on, so now what remains underground can remain hidden?
I would so love it if an insider could post some pictures or something.
Once they start building over the secret project, it will be very hard to tell what that was all about with the secret underground bunker or whatever it is.
