  Apostate is an easy excuse

  it seems to me that if there is something that any jw doesnt want anybody to look into, then they can just say the one word apostate, and nobody wil look at it.. this is rather convenient.. what if it is the truth, still dont even look at it to find out?.

  What is the official definition of apostate?

  If it is saying something bad about Jehovah or Jesus then some of the videos about members of the governing body are not apostate?

  what can i do when elders want to poke their nose in?.

  they want to have another chat with me and my wife, but we dont want to, it just gets us down..

  Some backround about myself and my situation.

  I have recently been betrayed by some elders in my cong.

  They have lost my trust and instead of admitting it and apologising they are trying to offload the blame.

  They are still trying to say its their job to do what they are doing even though I expressly told them not to.

  They are the reason my marriage has failed.

  Im now separated and being made to feel like I brought it all on myself and now all my family and friends who are still in are being told to not have any contact with at all.

  All I have to do is admit to something that is not true and be 'repentant' then accept the discipline that those elders decide for me.

  They keep telling me they are doing this to hep me, and its not a witch hunt, they are not out to get me.. Well it certainly seems that way with all they have done and all they are doing.

  its been over for a long time to tell the truth.. im not completely out of the borg and dont want to be dfed.. i want to keep contact with fam and friends, but im very lonely now.. which are the best jw dating sites which have free options?.

  im not going to pay a lot, just want to meet some single sisters or ex sisters.. any help would be much appreciated..

  How long is a generation?

  what splain does in his talk and chart illustration is make the leap that a generation can have two groups.

  and in this case the two groups span more than 108 years.

  but no where in scripture is there ever a notion that a generation has two groups.

  (Exodus 1:6) 6 Eventually Joseph died, and also all his brothers and all that generation.

  We can also apply this to the JW idea of the anointed generation:

  Eventually F.W. Franz died, and also all his 'anointed' brothers and all that 'overlapping generation'. But fuck! Still no Armageddon :-(

  So as Saplin said if somebody died 10 mins before Joseph was born then he would not be the same generation, but if he was born 10 mins before Joseph died he still would not be the same generation.

  He would have had to be an adult at the same time as Joseph to be considered the same generation?

  So somebody would have had to be an adult before Br Franz and all those died, means they had to be an adult in the 1960s at the latest, to understand the sign of 1914?

  The youngest members of the GB are in their 60s, is that right? Or maybe their 70s already?

  What will they say if the end still has not come in the next ten years? when these ones are in their 80s or 90s, if they are still alive they cant have any younger ones come along.

  And they are all very fat and unhealthy, living in luxury with expensive watches and signature rings which some say are to do with the Masonic secret society they are all involved with.

  What if there is something that you dont want the elders to see?

  Can you say its apostate and they should delete and block it?

  If they dont then they are committing a serious sin?

  Is somebody was caught on social media or something clubbing or something that may be considered loose conduct then the elders were informed about it, but you said please dont look at it it is apostate!

  But then if they do go and choose to look at it, then I wish it really was apostate and something very powerful that would get them to think carefully about everything.

  Has anybody got an example of a short video that is very powerful, Id like to find the best one that is so very apostate and powerful, any ideas please?

  Is "fornication" still used by Witnesses?

  in 2013 the revised nwt came out and changed the old edition's "fornication" and its related words "fornicating," "fornicator" etc.

  in all their roughly 70 occurrences.

  has the word completely dropped from usage in the witness world?

  The trouble is they are now selective about what an apostate is.

  If they want to read it, they say its not apostate.

  They say they need my permission to talk to my wife, Im not sure, as I dont want to upset her
